Especially for you.. lovely friend bird on branch 7x5in black card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card was a surprise to me as I wasn't too sure how it would turn out but am pleased with the result. I still have some of Create & Craft's black pearlescent 7" x 5" cards and thought I better use them up and so rounded the corners with a Prism punch from Hunkydory and then used their scoreboard to score 3 lines towards the bottom of the card. I stamped the bird on a branch image (from Stamps By Me It's All About You range) on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - as it is a Hybrid ink it means I can use it for either watercolour or alcohol paints or inks. I then had some watercolour paints left in my palette (gosh that sounds pretentious) from other projects. They were a mix of Be Creative's Metallic Gold Twilights for its' head and some brown and green watercolour paints from a variety of sources for the branches and leaves. Rose and pocket watch Life is better... laughing 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one using Stamps by Me products for my 365 day challenge. I had cut out a circle in a piece of card for another project and decided to use it as  a mask to colour another piece of white card using some "grungy" colour ink pads (Mainly Tim Holtz) I then stamped the Rose and pocket watch image (from a Stamps by Me collection) on top of the the ink using Gina K Black Obsidiain ink. I used Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Tints (Orange and yellow) as paints to colour the stamped image.  I trimmed a piece of the wood effect Stamps by Me paper pad I had to fit the front of a 7x5" white card (leaving a narrow border all around). Using the same Crystal Tints I coloured the card that had the circle aperture in it until I was happy with the result.
