Thinking of you today.. Church in silhouette on hand coloured background A6/A2 card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one I have made using a Die for the main focal point on a background I created myself using Distress Oxides. How I made this card:- The base card is an A6 (A2 in the US) which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... I used a pre cut A6 panel from Rare Earth and first of all used some Green Gossip inks coloured the hill at the bottom of the cardstock and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening, I cut out the Church silhouette (Serenity die set from Tattered Lace) in black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) - I used both the main oval and the inside die together on a magnetic sheet so they didn't move... Once that was done, I stuck some yellow/gold card behind the windows to make it look as if there were lights on - I used a PVA glue as it grabs better than a wet one. I also used a Black alcoh...

Celebrate your Birthday cute girl on abstract background  7x5 landscape card Hi Craft addicts! I have had the rainbow cardstock from Kanban for ages and thought I better try and use it up so decided to use it with this cute girl image from Tattered Lace. How I made this card:- I cut about 2" off the front of a 5" x 7" white landscape card with either a paper trimmer or guillotine. I then attached some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to the edge and another to the back edge (which is now showing through). I took off the protective backing off the front one and then added some Glitter flakes (Honey Doo Sunrise) and pressed it into the glue and continued do that until I couldn't feel any stickiness to the touch. I then burnished it to remove any excess flakes with a brush and then repeated the process on the back part of the card. I cut the rainbow abstract design card using a Rectangle picot edged die (I think this is a Tattered Lace one) ...

Congratulations! Champagne bottles and glasses 7x5in cream card Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one I have created using various dies, stamps and an old Daisy print paper from Craftwork Cards... How I made this card:- I first  of all cut out the Tattered Lace Champagne bottle and glasses die out in white card and coloured the bottle part in using a couple of green Alcohol markers, trying to give them a bit of shape by using darker colours toward the edges and underneath the neck. I coloured the foil parts of the bottles and the bucket using a beige colour alcohol marker and the champagne/prosecco in a yellowy colour... I then used one of the larger torn edge rectangle dies from Tattered Lace to cut out a piece of the green and white daisy patterned paper (I think it is from an old pad from Craftwork Cards) and edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hello - Champagne bottles and glasses silhouette on black and white background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is Monochrome Monday so have made this black and white card using Tattered Lace dies and a stamp from Creative Expressions... How I made this card:- I cut out the Champagne Glasses and bottle die in white card (it is from Tattered Lace) - I didn't colour it in as I wanted to use it as a silhouette version. I cut a panel of black and white spotty paper (this is from a 12" Trimcraft paper pad) to fit an A6 white linen effect card - it is 5" x 3.5" approximately and stuck it on using a tape pen - I didn't use a wet glue as I find it sometimes shows through. I then attached the die-cut in the middle of it using a  PVA glue. The Hello sentiment is a stamp from the Modern Classic Sentiments set from Creative Expressions and I used Black Gina K Amalgam ink to stamp it in the middle of the label. Seems like a purrfect time to say... black cats on checked background 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is Throwback Thursday and for today's post, I have made this black cat themed card using stamps from Hunkydory and Simon Hurley (Ranger) and dies from Tattered Lace and Spellbinders... How I made this card:- I saw a video on You Tube some time ago showing the technique to make the  check background and I decided to try it... so I first of all I took a piece of white stamping card and trimmed it so that it measured 5" x 4" (approx), turned it over and divided it into 4 equal parts using a ruler and pencil - it doesn't matter that you can see this as it on the back of it. I took the Classic Flannel rubber stamp (from Simon Hurley/Ranger) and inked part of it with Over The Moon dye ink again from Simon Hurley. I then placed one quarter of the card over it, placed a scratch piece of paper over it and burnished it. I repeated the process in the opposit...

Mosaic black cat Birthday Wishes 7x5in black card.. Hi Craft addicts! Well, it is apparently National Hug a Cat day today so thought this black mosaic cat would be appropriate to write about! How I made this card:- I coloured a piece of 5" Yupo paper (from Ranger) using a variety of alcohol inks - for this particular one I used Jaquard Pinata colour inks as they are lovely and bright (especially on Yupo paper). When I was happy with the design, I let it completely dry and cut out the solid mat layer in black card from the Watercolour Cat die set from Tattered Lace. I then cut the main layer out of the background using the other die in the set along with the mat die as I wanted to cut it out totally. These dies are from their Unity collection so the mat layer cuts very close to the main topper. I glued them both together using PVA Glue, but you could add a self adhesive layer so you don't have to do this... I had cut out the frame out in Silver Mirri some time ...

Cherish Every Moment - bird on branch A6 white card Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would carry on with my new resolution of writing my blog again with this simple but effective A6 card that I have made for #WorldCraftWeek (and #TheHundredDayChallenge). How I made this card... I have had this Bird die from Tattered Lace and was nervous about using it as I didn't know quite how to colour it in as I am not proficient at water colouring (so far). Then I had a brainwave and coloured a piece of cream hammered card with various brown shades (using Tim Holtz's Distress Crayons (which I really love) - such as Aged Mahogany and Walnut Stain. I wasn't too careful where I added the crayon but made sure that I blended each area in before I moved on to the next... Once I was happy with the shading (having thought about what colours I wanted the bird to be), I then used a medium paint brush and blended all of the colours in further with water. Floral stained glass effect square card on red and gold background Hi Craft addicts! Well I haven't quite managed to do my blog every other day but here is a card that I have made recently. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the frame using the Cherish Every Moment die set from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) using the main die for the mat in Gold Mirror Card (Hunkydory or Kanban) and then used the frame and main die to cut out the ornate heart frame in red card. I then stuck the frame on to the mat using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I used the square die within the set to cut out the next layer again in the Gold Mirror Card. The floral bouquet die cut is one from Tattered Lace and I used a self adhesive black paper to do it and attached it on to some white card. Once I had burnished it down sufficiently, I used a variety of alcohol markers to colour it in to try and give it a stained glass effect.  I then attached it to the gold mat and then used ...

Snowman Happy Christmas card -  Day 352 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well not much longer till Christmas time and this is a quick and easy card using an older Tattered Lace die along with some circle ones, some peel off stickers and a sentiment.... How I made this card:- I cut out the Tattered Lace Snowman die in white card. I then cut out 3 circles (with ornate edges) - one in Black, one in Kraft and the smallest one out of red and white spotty paper. I stuck them on top of each other using PVA glue and then attached them to the front of a 5" white card again using PVA glue. Using Midas Touch Sticky dots, I then stuck the Snowman on. I placed 3 Peel Off Sticker parcels on to some white card and coloured them in using alcohol markers - you can of course use any colours you like! I then attached them on top of each other to the left of the Snowman, this time using a tape pen. I cut out the Happy Christmas sentiment out in Gold Mirri card and stuck ...
