Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but striking card using just black and white cardstock. I first of all cut two pieces of white card (Sheena Douglass Willow White) using the largest plain die from Tattered Lace Fretwork Poppy Square set and made a tent fold card from them by making a score line at the top of the card using my Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard. I creased the score line and then added some Red Liner tape to the top bit, having first removed the release backing sheet from it. I matched the edges by butting it against the scoreboard and joined the two together to make the card. I cut out the ornate layer from the same set from Lynda Chapman's Black card and stuck it to the card only gluing the middle part allowing the fretwork edge to remain free.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one I made from scratch using just dies.... I took the largest solid die from Tattered Lace's Filigree Poppy Doily die set and cut two of them in Sheena Douglass's Willow White card. I then scored one of them towards the top and folded it back adding some red liner tape to it, removed the backing sheet and stuck the two together to make a card. I used the next die which is the ornate doily design and again cut it out in white card. I have just noticed in the photo that I didn't take all of the bits out of it - but have done now! One of the scallops got torn, and instead of throwing it away, I trimmed it and then repeated it several times so it looked ok and then added some yellow ink to the scallops to add some colour. I used the next two dies to cut out the ornate circle pattern twice, one in brown card (Crafter's Companion) and the Glitter Euphoria Sparkly card from Lisa Horton. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this slightly different Hallowe'en 4" card using dies and stencils... I first of all took a 4" white card (from Paper Boutique or Hunkydory) and rounded the corners with a Hunkydory Prism Punch. I then took a piece of Willow White cardstock (from Sheena Douglass) and placed a Woodware abstract design stencil over it and coloured through it with a variety of inks - reds, yellows, blues to create this vibrant background. I cut it down to fit the front of the card leaving a very narrow border around it and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I stuck it to the card with some PVA glue. Using the Witch, Broom and Bat dies from Tim Holtz's Toil and Trouble set from Sizzix, I cut them out in Lynda Chapman's Black card along with the spider's web from a Tattered Lace die. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using dies and stamps.... I decided to try a different way of using the Shabby Edge rectangle die from Tattered Lace and cut it out in a caramel coloured cardstock. I then used the Creative Expressions Slimline collection - Inner Scalloped Rectangle aperture trio die and cut out the three apertures in the card. I used the complimentary Outer Scalloped edge die and used it to cut a piece of white card. To create the striped background, I used the left over waste die cuts from a Lisa Horton die and coloured through it with various pastel hybrid inks - from Tim Holtz Distress Oxide to Aladine Izink ink cubes. I then attached it to the back of the caramel card using PVA glue and then added the white aperture frame on top of them both.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective card you can send to a friend to say hello.... I rounded the corners of an A6 cream coloured card (from Tonic Studios) and decided to use it as a tent fold landscape one. I had some of the background cardstock that I had created using Aladine Izink ink cubes on some white card and used the cubes directly on to the card in a random way. I cut it to fit the front of the A6 card and rounded the corners. I thought it needed another layer so trimmed it a bit more, rounded the corners again and stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card and attached it to the front of the card with PVA glue. I attached some of Lynda's black card to some self adhesive sheet and cut out the Friend die (I think it is from Stamps by Me), removed the backing paper and placed it in the middle of the card.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is unusual for me as it is a large square one but thought it turned out quite well!  I rounded the corners of a 7" square card (these are from Hunkydory) first of all. I then cut out the three parts of the Nested Stitched Bubble square dies from Lisa Horton - the largest in white card and kept it in the die and used some Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to give it some depth but it still allows the  bubble part to stay white. I then cut out the straight edged panel in brown card from the Autumnal Blessings cardstock range and then the smaller bubble panel in yellow from the same kit and stuck them all together using tape pens. I cut a piece of the brown card (from the same pack as before) and then attached the main panel to it and used a Guillotine (mine is a Memory Keepers one) to trim it and then rounded the corners again with the Hunkydory punch. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a quick and easy card using dies and stamps from a variety of Companies... I cut out the main panel in white card using Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles from her Slimline Die collection. I had previously used some off cuts from Crafter's Companion linen effect cardstock to create a panel and I cut it the smaller rectangle out and kept the waste pieces and then stuck them back randomly and glued the whole thing on to the main mat layer and attached it to the front of an A6 card with a dotty pen as I could cover the whole die cut without any glue showing through the wholes. I had also cut a smaller rectangle using a deckle edged die in white card and stamped the rabbit, carrot and cupcake on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured them in using Stabilo FSC colouring pencils - I really like these as they blend very well.    Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge uses stamps and dies along with Distress Oxide inks. I created the background first using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (mainly blue shades) and then once I was happy with the effect I splashed some water on to it and let it dry naturally. I used two inverted rectangle dies from Crafters Companion - the larger one to cut out the background and then the smaller more ornate one to cut out a frame in white card. I also cut out the Lady (along with the kite and umbrella) in Lynda Chapman's black card again using the Wild Spider sticky roll to save using glue. The dies are called The Park and are part of the Tim Holtz range by Sizzix.  I placed the die cuts where I wanted them and removed the backing sheet and stuck them down. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a general card that could be sent to someone you haven't seen for ages...... I first of all used several of Ink Lily Glimmer Pens to create a rainbow style background and let it dry once I was happy with the effect. I then took the Create a Card Elegant butterfly die and placed it on the cardstock and once it was in the right place, taped it down with some low tack tape and cut it out. I have noticed I didn't take all the waste out but as the wings aren't stuck down I have since removed them! I then used some of Crafter's Companion Dotty tape pen to stick it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card, ensuring that the wings were kept away from the glue! I trimmed it down to fit the front of an A6 card and used PVA glue to attach the whole panel to the card, trying to leave a narrow border around it. I stamped the You Brighten my day sentiment out on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Bla...
