Hello.... Crane in reeds C6 card

Image
Hello.... Crane in reeds C6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a very quick and easy one to make and here is how I made it... How I made this card I first of all took a panel of white stamping card and cut it slightly smaller than an A6 (or A2) card. I then cut out the crane in reeds die (I think it is a Pretty Quick one) in Black card and stuck it on to the middle of the panel using Glue it Glue from Pinflair. Once it was stuck down, I then tapped some Electric Blue Cosmic Shimmer (Shimmer Shaker) all over it and spritzed it with water until i was happy with the effect it created. I then left it to dry overnight and then used a sponge dauber to edge the panel with Salty Ocean Tim Holtz Distress ink and then used a Bright Blue alcohol marker to finish it off. Finally, I used one of the Hello sentiments from the Craftwork Cards Year of Sentiments pad and placed it in the bottom right hand corner. I used Pinflair Glue-it Glue to attach the whole panel to the f...

Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card

Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card Hi Craft addicts! Am back in the world of the internet after a few days and thought I would make this Fairy themed Birthday card and here is how I made it using some Hunkydory and Rare Earth products.... How I made this card:- The background is one I created using one sheet from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring Pad Vol.2 - I coloured it in using purples and yellow Tim Holtz Distress and Rare Earth inks - I placed some on a glass mat directly and used a paintbrush to blend the colours in. Whilst it was drying, I used some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to add a border to the right hand side of a cream/ivory 7x5in card (landscape/tentfold) - I had previously placed the topper on to the card to make sure it will fit. I removed the liner and added some black foil to it and burnished it until there was no glue exposed.  I then stamped the Fairy image (from Rare Earth's Fantasy Stamp range) on to some ...

Have a Magical Day Fairy and owl 6in easel card

Have a Magical Day Fairy and owl 6in easel card Hi Craft addicts! I wanted to try my hand at stamping and colouring the image in using Distress Inks/Dye based inks and am quite pleased with how this turned out! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat layer from Tattered Lace's Engaging Elements Circle Frame set in white cardstock and then the foliage frame in green. I put the latter to one side and using one of the Fairies from Rare Earth's Pixie Forest A4 stamp set, I stamped it out using Obsidian Gina K Amalgam ink and left it to dry for a bit. Using Tim Holtz's Bundled  Sage and Evergreen Bough Distress inks, I squished a bit onto a glass mat and then using a waterbrush coloured her dress in trying to blend them in so there was dark and light areas. I then used Salty Ocean and Broken China, repeated the above process to colour the wings in. I used Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge for her hair. Once it was all done, I let it dry a bit and then pla...

Be Someone's sunshine... Muppets themed card -  Day 308 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is a fun one made using a Muppets Topper (as it is a licensed product you can't sell the card but it would be great to give to some to say hello!) How I made this card:- I had coloured the background some time ago and am not sure which Tim Holtz Distress inks I used but you can see blue, pink, red, yellow, orange definitely!  Once I was happy with the colours, I then dropped some water on to it and dabbed it off to give the bubble effect. I then used two picot edged rectangle dies (from Tattered Lace) and cut out the frame which I then glued it on to some black card using some PVA glue. I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) again using PVA glue. I took the Miss Piggy & Kermit topper (from the Muppets collection again from Create & Craft) a...

With Love... Thistle in silhouette A5 card -  Day 303 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 303 of my 365 day challenge is once again one using an old die from Tattered Lace (I also think they have done this for the Brother Scan n Cut), a hand coloured background and some stamping... How I made this card:- The background was made using Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Oranges, Yellows, Reds and some black for the top and bottom - you can of course use any other inks such as Prism, Gina K etc! Once I was happy with it, I edged it with a black alcohol marker to make it stand out. I then cut out the Thistle and leaf spray dies out in black card (the leaf spray twice). Using some Midas Touch Sticky Dots, I glued the thistle on to the centre of the panel - I did try it against various background colours but felt this was quite striking. I then used some PVA glue to attach it to the front of a creamy/ivory pre scored A5 Adorable Scorable card ...

Boo! Pumpkin in silhouette Halloween Card -  Day 297 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is a week till Halloween and so have made this fun DL card using Tattered Lace dies and some stamps from Bert n Gert. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Pumpkin (from Tattered Lace) out in black card and using the same black card (well not the same piece obviously) cut out the Spider's Web and cut it in half. I decided to use a DL card but using it landscape tent fold instead of the normal portrait so I cut out a piece of white stamping card slightly smaller than the front of the card. I then used some masking tape to mask off the centre of the panel leaving about 1.5cm on the top and bottom and coloured it in using Orange, red and yellow Tim Holtz Distress Inks and blended them in until I was happy with it. I then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I also coloured in a square panel of white linen effect card again using the same Distress inks, ...

Special Wishes - Sea landscape hand coloured shaped card - Day 233 of my 365 day challenge

Special Wishes  - Sea landscape hand coloured shaped card -  Day 233 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a hand coloured shaped card using Distress inks and Hunkydory stamps. It has been made for day 233 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I thought that this shaped card would be perfect to use for this Special Wishes design so I cut a piece of white stamping card and coloured the sea scene using Distress Inks for the sea and sky trying to make the definition clear between sea and sky.  I also left a bit of the top half showing the white card so it looked like clouds and I also coloured the sea and parts of the sky in a darker grey colour to look like darker clouds and waves. I then used 2 pieces of waste paper to cover parts of the design and coloured through them to create the horizon and the land parts, moving the paper down so I could create the lower landscape. I then used the boat stamp (from Ahoy Matey stamp set ...

Butterfly on an alphabet background with flowers A6 card -  Day 231 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made this card using a mix of dies and stamps and is my latest project for day 231 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the butterfly (from Tattered Lace) in white card and then coloured it in using some green and yellow alcohol markers. I then stamped the alphabet letters on to a pre cut oval white card (from Hunkydory), this time using a mix of purple and maroon Tim Holtz Distress inks and once dry stuck it to the co-ordinating silver mat. I also cut out another oval (this time a lacy scallop die from Spellbinders) in purple card and glued the topper on to that using Collall All purpose glue. Using a mini score board, I scored 3 rows on the right hand side of an A6 white card (this time from the inside so it was embossed rather than debossed). I then stamped some flowers (from Rare Earth) co-ordinating it...

Thanks -  a fun dog on tree background 6in card -  Day 164 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 164 of my 365 day challenge is a fun card using a mix of Hunkydory and Craftwork Cards (along with some foil and self adhesive paper). How I made this card:- Hunkydory had produced some pre cut 6" Adorable Scorable cards and so I thought I would use one for this project. I first of all added some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to the bottom edge leaving about 1/4" at the bottom and then added some teal/turquoise foil on top of it, burnished it and then repeated the process on the right hand side. I had previously coloured (using distress inks) this topper from Craftwork Cards but didn't really like the card I made so stuck it to some purple/lilac self-adhesive paper (from DoCrafts) with some Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue. I then removed the backing sheet of the paper and stuck it directly to the top left hand side of the car...
