Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card
Happy Birthday Fairy and flowers 7x5in landscape card
Hi Craft addicts!
Am back in the world of the internet after a few days and thought I would make this Fairy themed Birthday card and here is how I made it using some Hunkydory and Rare Earth products....
- The background is one I created using one sheet from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring Pad Vol.2 - I coloured it in using purples and yellow Tim Holtz Distress and Rare Earth inks - I placed some on a glass mat directly and used a paintbrush to blend the colours in.
- Whilst it was drying, I used some medium width ultra strong red liner tape to add a border to the right hand side of a cream/ivory 7x5in card (landscape/tentfold) - I had previously placed the topper on to the card to make sure it will fit.
- I removed the liner and added some black foil to it and burnished it until there was no glue exposed.
- I then stamped the Fairy image (from Rare Earth's Fantasy Stamp range) on to some white card with Gina K Obsidian black ink and coloured it in using the same inks as before.
- Once that was dry, I cut it out leaving a very narrow border around it.
- I edged the flower mat with a black alcohol marker and stuck it to the left of the foil.
- I then used some foam pads to the back of the fairy and placed it in the middle of the flowers. I did stamp some bubbles around the fairy with some blue dye based ink.
- I stamped the Happy Birthday to the right hand side of the card with black ink, turning it around so it was Portrait before stamping it and added some more bubbles to either side of the Happy this time with black ink.
- And there you are a quick and simple card using just stamps and inks along with a pre printed flower panel.
