Birthday Wishes...Floral spray 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using stamps and embossing powder. I first of all dusted a panel of white stamping card with an anti-static pad and then added Versamark to the Floral spray stamp from Ink Lily and rather than using a stamping platform, I placed it directly on to my desk and inked it and then placed the card on top of it, gently rubbing it all over so the ink was transferred. I then added some white embossing powder (so many Companies are now producing their own version but I have Cosmic Shimmer and Thirsty Brush amongst others). I heat set it, moving my heat gun over all of the image until I saw it had all melted. I decided to play with my Ink Lily Glimmer pens and so used the Summer collection to colour over the embossed image, spritzing them with water and used kitchen roll to dry them off - I like the effect as it gives a very subtle sparkle to the card though you can't see it well in the photo. I rou...

With Love with ornate heart red, white and cream square card -  Day 5 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card could be for Valentine's Day or just to someone close to you - again it is simple to make but have also used my Scan n Cut to make one of the background layers. How I made this card:- I have used a pre-cut 5" red card and added a cream insert inside before adding anything to the front. I then cut out the bottom layer in cream linen effect cardstock using a Tattered Lace die I then went into my Canvas account (the online design app with my Brother Scan n Cut) and designed the wavy frame and cut it out in red cardstock. I cut the scalloped heart out in vellum using a Tattered Lace die and then did the same with the main topper (the frame in white and background in red) and attached them together. I then added them all to the card using both tape pens and glue. I then used a stamp to emboss the With Love sentiment to the bottom o...

Hip, Hip Horray - Celebrate Happy New Year - DL balloons card - Day 366 of my 366 day challenge- Day 366 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a celebratory card - I have completed my 366 day challenge and am now thinking as to what to do for my next one starting tomorrow! This one is made by using some Peel Off stickers, some embellishments from Craftwork Cards and a DL card from Hunkydory! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the pink "serrated edged" border strip using a template on CANVAS and cut it out using my Brother ScanNCut. Before I glued all of it down, I added some twine to the "Hip,Hip Hooray" tag and placed part of it under the strip so that it was attached. I had coloured the "Champagne Flutes" peel off stickers using alcohol markers and cut it out using a Spellbinders ornate frame die  and added it to the middle of the card using foam pads. I then used some "Balloons" from the ...

Season's Greetings Rudolph and parcels DL Christmas card -  Day 355 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! It is so near Christmas time now but I have made this "Season's Greetings" DL card using some dies, a hand coloured background and some Nuvo drops.... How I made this card:- I first of all took a pre-cut "Deckle edged" panel (from Craft Creations) and coloured a sky scene using various shades of "Blue" and "Black" distress and dye based ink using a circle of card to mask of the moon.  Once I was happy with the overall effect, I took away the mask and very lightly coloured the moon to look as if there were some clouds moving across it. I then cut out the "Rudolph" and "Sleigh" in dark "Kraft" card and glue them on to the panel using CS glue. I also used some "Clear" Wink of Stella on the moon to make it sparkle. I had some of the "parcels" already coloured (they a...

Trio of Christmas Tree C6 cards - very quick and easy to make...  Day 335 of my 366 daychallenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a trio of Christmas cards using some Peel off stickers on some C6 cards. How I made these cards:- These are peel off outline sticker which you can get from Craft Creations  (the black one doesn't now appear to be available at the moment) but you can use any colour obviously. The red one is using the red and gold "Christmas Tree edge" and all I did was to place it at the bottom of the card, making sure that the Christmas Tree edge peel off sticker was "butted" up to the open side of the card. (I had made one where I cut it out so the inside of the card showed through). I then took three of the "streamer" bits that comes with the sticker and added them. I also used a "Father Christmas" sticker that also comes from Craft Creations  and placed it to the left of the panel - as it was white, I...

So today's card is a cute and fun Christmas card using a Tonic Studios die, a shaped card and stamps from Hunkydory along with some background papers from Kanban, This is day 326 of my 366 day challenge.. I also used the small Snowflake from that set and stamped some all around the edge of the card. I the cut out the Picot edged circle in the double sided card from Kanban and again stamped some of the snowflakes around it. I stuck it to the centre of the card using Cosmic...

Christmas wishes Abstract tree shaped card -  Day 324 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's card, I have made this "Christmas" card using an abstract Tree peel off sticker, some Tattered Lace dies and Nuvo Crystal drops on a shaped 5" card. How I made this card:- I had bought some of these scalloped edged 120mm blank cards from Kanban and was wondering what to do with them and came up with this idea... I first of all took the "Snowflake" stamp from the "Winter Greetings" set which is part of the "For the Love of Stamps" collection from Hunkydory and stamped the front of the card and the edge of the inside of the card using the "Blue" mini ink cube from Papermania and let it dry. I then cut out the white circle using the "Threaded Scalloped Circle" die from Tonic Studios (measuring 7cm) and whilst still in the die coloured it using the same "Blue" ink and some "G01 - G...
