Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is one using dies and the waste left over from a die cut to make the background panel... I used a 7" x 5" landscape white card (from Paper Boutique/Creative Crafting World) and rounded the corners with a Hunkydory punch. I then cut out the Into the Woods silhouette die (from Crafter's Companion Pop up collection) using Lynda Chapman's Black card. I had also cut out a scalloped circle in white card (I am not sure which die it is but a lot of Companies produce them) and then coloured a sunrise/sunset background within it using various Hybrid inks. I stamped the sentiment directly on to the image using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I stuck the silhouette panel on to it using PVA glue and a dotty tape pen for the more intricate parts making sure that there is an equal border around it.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a simple but striking one that turned out a lot better than I thought it would! I rounded the corners of a 7x5in white card (from Hunkydory) using one of their punches. For the background/topper, I took a piece of white card and blended a variety of Hybrid inks (I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide, Nuvo Safari Green and Aladine Izinks ink pads) until I was happy with it and trimmed it to fit the Butterfly and flowers Embossing folder from Sizzix and ran it through my Big Shot. I decided to use the Butterfly for another project and so attached the background to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card and trimmed it to fit. I then used the largest die from Crafter's Companion Gemini Inner Scalloped rectangle set and cut it out in the same black card and used a Dotty tape pen to stick it to the main topper. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using dies and stamps.... I decided to try a different way of using the Shabby Edge rectangle die from Tattered Lace and cut it out in a caramel coloured cardstock. I then used the Creative Expressions Slimline collection - Inner Scalloped Rectangle aperture trio die and cut out the three apertures in the card. I used the complimentary Outer Scalloped edge die and used it to cut a piece of white card. To create the striped background, I used the left over waste die cuts from a Lisa Horton die and coloured through it with various pastel hybrid inks - from Tim Holtz Distress Oxide to Aladine Izink ink cubes. I then attached it to the back of the caramel card using PVA glue and then added the white aperture frame on top of them both. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's card for my 365 day challenge is one made totally from scratch - from the card itself to the stamping... I decided to make the card from scratch and so used one of the larger circle dies from Tattered Lace's Circle Mini Lace edge set and cut two out from Sheena Douglass's Willow White cardstock. I scored one of them about 3/4" down from the top using a scoreboard (my one of choice is Hunkydory's Adorable Scoreboard). I added some red liner tape to the above the score line, removed the backing and stuck the two together making sure they lined up properly. I cut out the House in silhouette die (Crafter's Companion Gemini Our Home pop up die) from Lynda Chapman's Black card and placed it on a piece of white card that I had coloured in using a variety of blending brushes with blue, yellow, and brown hybrid inks (Tim Holtz Distress Oxide, Aladine Izinks and Nuvo ink pads).    Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is the semi monochromatic card using dies and stamps.... I first of all took a 7x5in white landscape card from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) and used a Kit n Caboodle punch to create a different corner. I then cut out the two frames (from Stamps by Me) twice, the top one in Lynda Chapman's Black card and the bottom one in Bright blue self adhesive sheet (from Dalton Manor) and placed them on top of each other so that the blue foliage parts show through. I then attached it to the front of the card using a solid tape pen but you could use it a wet glue so that you can place it where you want. I had previously cut out the flower spray (Refined Bouquet from Tattered Lace) in Lynda Chapman's Black card and added it to the bottom of the frame again using a tape pen - this time a dotty one so the glue only goes where it needs to.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a card that could be a gift tag or card - the choice is yours! I first of all rounded the corners of a 4in white card using my Prism (Hunkydory) punch. I then took a piece of watercolour cardstock and coloured a background on it using a mix of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide and Izinks inks and spritzed it once happy with the effect and left it to dry. Once it was dry, I cut it out using the middle sized Circle die in the Petit Picot edge set from Spellbinders. I then stamped the sun on to it from Gemini's Into the Woods pop up die and stamp set and then cut out the main die using Lynda Chapman's Black card. I used a dotty tape pen to attach it to the front of the circle mat layer and stuck it to the front of the 4in card (tent fold) with either PVA glue or a tape pen. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one using just stamps and dye based inks.... I created the background using Red, Yellow and Pink Izink Dye based inks - I must admit they do blend really well though the pads tend to raise when using a brush. When I was happy with the result, I spritzed it with some water and dabbed the excess off. Once it was dry, I decided not to take the London skyline and birds stamps off their carrier sheet and placed it directly on to my desk and inked it with Gina K's Obsidian Black ink and then placed the piece of card on top of it and rubbed it gently to make sure that the image was transferred correctly. I saw that Creative Expressions had an image of an aeroplane in one of their collections so stamped that towards the top again using Gina K's ink. I then used a guillotine to trim it to fit the front of an A6 white card and rounded the corners of both with my Prism (Hunkydory) punch. I also edged the topper with a black alcohol ma...

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one using some dies, stamps and some inks! I coloured a piece of white card using yellow, orange, red and pink Distress Oxide and Harmony inks (from Tim Holtz and Crafter's Companion) to make a sunrise (esque) background and spritzed it with some water. I then added some self adhesive paper to the back of a piece of Lynda Chapman's Black card and used the Sweet as Honeycomb Die from Crafter's Companion Nature's Garden Bee-youtiful collection to cut it out. Removing the backing sheet carefully, and taking out any waste bits left, I then stuck that to the background and cut around it. I used some foam pads to add it to the front of a top fold white 7" x 5" card trying to make it as central as possible. I then stamped out the Bee NIce sentiment directly on to the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. Finally I added some Glossy Highlights (or Glossy Accents) to the wings of the bees.
