Do small things with great love... vibrant flowers 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hiya Craft addicts! Today's card is one using just paper from Stamps by Me and a sentiment from Lisa Horton - so if you want to know how to make something like this then why not read more! I really love the colours in this paper pad from Toni Darroch's Its All about You - Vibrant Colours 8" pad. I wanted the poppies to stand out and so used one of the paler designs (with the script on it) and cut it to 4.75" x 5.5" (approximately) and attached it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card. I then cut a smaller piece of the Poppy design about 2.75" x 5"and stuck it to some more black card. I used PVA glue (or you can used fingerlift tape) to attach the larger panel to the front of a 7" x 5" white card and then added the smaller topper to it towards the bottom right hand corner, this time with thin foam tape to give it some height. I took the sentiment from Lisa Horton's Ticker tape collection, cut it out and stuck it to some black card, this...

Friendship with Owl topper from Pollyanna Pickering scalloped card  Day 31 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am trying to get rid of some of my "old" craft items and decided to use this beautiful Owl topper from a collection from the well known artist from Pollyanna Pickering. How I made this card:- I attached the topper on to some of Lynda Chapman's black cardstock and trimmed it to leave a small border. I then added that on to some white card and then some Rainbow Mirri card again leaving narrow borders around each of them. Using a black alcohol marker (this one is a Tonic Studios one), I used one of the scallops of the card to mark a border around a white 6" card and glued the whole topper on to the front of the card. I then wanted to add a sentiment to it, so I coloured a pre-cut label shape tag with some Altenew inks (red, yellow and orange) and attached it to some gold Mirri and trimmed it to leave a small border. I then stamped the...

Love is all you need C5 linen effect card - House and tree in silhouette - day 6 of my 365 day challenge

Love is all you need C5 linen effect card - House and tree in silhouette  D ay 6 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that I had started out thinking of it being a home decor piece but I then thought it would look better as a card! How I made this card:- I| used a C5 white linen effect card and used it landscape instead of portrait. I first of all used a black fineliner pen to add a border (using one of the scallops as a guide to make it equal) I had previously cut out the ornate rectangle using a Spellbinders die and whilst it was still in it, coloured it in using dark shades of green and black Distress/Pigment inks to create sky scene. It also mean that the border had some of the colours too which added some depth to the frame. I then attached it to a sheet of green paper (from the Rainbow Radiance paper pad from Hunkydory) and trimmed it to fit (allowing for a small border). I cut out the house and tree using the Forest Pines d...

Be Mine Valentines Day C6 tentfold card -  day 3 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Now that Christmas and the New Year is over, I have started thinking about Valentine's Day and so this is the first card I have made - I think it could be sent to either male or female and could be in different colour/themes too! How I made this card:- I first of all took a C6 tentfold card and embossed both the top and bottom of the front using my Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard (every 1/4"). I then coloured both using purple and blue pigment inks from DoCrafts (but any would do). I had already the frame cut out (I think it is a Tonic Die but it could be a Tattered Lace one) in black card and attached it to some pink/purple paper (from the Stylish Silhouettes Rainbow Radiance range from Hunkydory). I had also previously cut the Be Mine sentiment heart from an older set by Tonic Studios in cream card. I coloured the hearts in the die cut using a purple alcohol marker...

Hello Floral 7x5in card hand coloured  Hi all you craft addicts out there! So I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and will have an even better New Year! I have decided to once again do one craft item a day challenge and will start with this very simple but stylish "Hello" 7" x 5" card. How I made this card.... The main focal point is one of the Synergy dies from Stamps by Me which cuts in the cardstock so I used a piece of black card approximately 9x13cm and cut the flowers out and then added it so some white card. I then coloured the flowers using Zig Clean Colour pens (yellows, oranges, pinks, purples and green shades) and a water brush to add some shading - you could use alcohol markers or pencils if you like! Once dry, I then edged the card using a purple alcohol marker and stuck it to the centre of a 7" x 5" card. I also used some Peel off stickers to add a different feeling to it and then finally stamped the "Hello...
