Relax, Calm, Unwind Tryptych of 3 small MDF panels home decor.. Hi Craft addicts! Well, I have had this MDF panel for ages (to be honest so long that i can't remember who produced it and decided I would experiment with Glitz Craft pastes, a stencil and a sentiment stamp. How I made this project:- I first of all took out the 3 small panels from the main panel and painted the latter with Imagination Crafts Antique Pink paint. I left it to dry once and then gave it another coat. I then used a Black Gesso (there are many Companies who do this such as Pebeo, Pentart etc) to paint the three small panels, giving them a couple of coats to make sure both back and front were covered. Once they were all dry, I then used an anti static pad to clean any dust/moisture from one of them and stamped the Relax, Calm, Unwind sentiment on to it in the centre using Versamark sticky ink - I then added some white Embossing powder and heat set it. Japanese lady on large trellis frame - hand coloured  home decor piece Hi Craft addicts! I had created this background some time ago and thought it would go well with this Japanese Lady die cut from Tattered Lace.... How I made this project:- I used 3 different colours of Cosmic Shimmer's Opal Polishes - Parakeet Blue, Blushed Peach and Pink Thistle to cover both parts of this large (A5 approx) Trellis Frame that Dreamees sell. I used my fingers to blend some of the colours in and then added extra to give it some texture and left it to dry. I cut out the Japanese Geisha lady die (from Tattered Lace) in some white card - I did wonder if I would colour it in at all but decided against it as I thought it would stand out more if plain. I masked off all sides of a cream piece of card and coloured it in using Pinks, Yellow and Green Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and blended them in with a waterbrush. Create, Imagine, Believe 4" home decor canvas .... Hi Craft addicts! Today's make is something different as I am trying to make use of all my crafty stash..... I had great fun making this wall hanging and will hopefully be doing more. How I made this project:- I used a 4" pre-prepared canvas (from Quantum Arts) and first of all placed the Lattice pattern Lamination Plus stencil (from Stamps by Me) and dabbed through it using Blue Parakeet, Lavender Blue and Pink Thistle Opal Polishes from Cosmic Shimmer. I moved the stencil around several times to get different effects and let it dry. I then used the Americana Inspiration stencil to add the different words - Create, Believe and Imagine - I used a sponge to dab through them with the Gina K Amalgam Black ink. Mermaid Canvas with textured background and Congratulations Bird A6 card Hi Craft addicts! As I have missed a couple of days posting anything, I thought I would show you two totally different things I have made for the 100 Day Challenge.... Mermaid stamp on 4" Canvas..  How I decorated the canvas:- I took a 4" white stretched canvas (Student Art) and covered it several times with Blue, Green and black Radiance Paints from Stamps Away - must admit I have had them for ages and didn't think they would be usable but had no trouble with them at all! Whilst the paint was still wait, I added more to the canvas, this time with the straight edge of a paintbrush raising it slightly to give it some texture. I then left it to dry overnight. I had one of these Mermaids already cut out (from Time For Tea stamp set) and thought it would go really well with it and attached it to the canvas with the relevant glue. Put the Kettle on Lad! Wallace & Gromit 2019 calendar -  Day 340 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I love the films starring Wallace & Gromit and it is great that we can now make our own cards etc using these great images! How I made this project! I had a greyboard wall plaque (150x100mm) and thought it would be good to make a 2019 calendar with it. I therefore, used some Yellow dappled effect cardstock (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) and stuck it to the front and back of the plaque - I didn't worry about covering the holes as I didn't want to use them. I used the Wallace & Gromit image twice, using Toffee Versafine ink to stamp it at the top and a border stamp lower down. Using one of the toppers in the Wallace cardmaking kit, I attached it to some brown card, leaving a very narrow border. I then attached it to the top of the plaque using thin foam pads. Japanese Lady behind screen A4 picture frame -  Day 267 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have to say that I am so pleased with the way this project has turned out - one of my successes if I say so myself... I have used an A4 picture frame to create this stylish home decor product! How I made this project:- I had cut out the Japanese Geisha Woman (from Tattered Lace) ages ago in black card and had always wondered what to do with her and suddenly had this idea... I first of all took an A4 sheet of Orange Create & Craft's Citrus Burst Linen card from their Core collection and made sure that it fitted this A4 Certificate Picture frame (which I got on Ebay). I then cut out the Trellis Background die (from Tattered Lace) in black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) (there are 2 dies - a background and the main trellis) and placed it over a piece of vellum/parchment and stuck it down around the edges and few of the stars (where it wouldn't s...

MDF Butterfly decorated with Acrylic paints -  Day 261 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been playing with Acrylic paints and MDF shapes and this is one of my first attempts which I had great fun making! How I made this fun project:- I first of all cleaned the surface of the MDF Butterfly - am not sure where it is from but it could either be Dreamees or Ali Reeve's Clever Cuts. I decided to do a "dirty pour" which is where you add all the colours you want into a pot and add it directly to the project. I therefore added the main colour first - which in this case is black Folk Art acrylic paints (these are good as they already have been mixed with a pouring medium to make them easier to pour) into a plastic pot and then added various amounts of Yellow, Blue, Green and a bit of white until I was happy with the colour mix. Couple dancing in a picture frame with ribbon  -  Day 256 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made this home decor project for day 256 of my 365 day challenge using a Tim Holtz picture Frame, a Tattered Lace die and some Mirri card. How I made this project:- I first  of all painted the front part of the Tim Holtz picture frame using black Gesso paint and left it it to dry. I then coated it again. I then cut out the couple dancing (timely as Strictly starts properly next week) in black card (Lynda Chapman's) and attached it to some starry holographic Mirri Card from Hunkydory using a PVA glue. I trimmed it so it measured 50x95mm approximately and stuck that on to some slate grey (not sure the real colour's name) Mirri card. Before I glued the frame to the backing piece, I glued the black and white striped paper (again from Hunkydory) on to it and trimmed it to fit.  I then stuck the whole topper on to the back using foam pads so it sta...

Food, Glorious Food 2019 mini calendar wall hanging -  Day 251 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a mini calendar (which you can detach) on a food themed MDF plaque... How I made this wall hanging:- I first of all covered the MDF plaque with two types of paper - the checkered red and cream paper on the front and a rainbow one on the reverse using a thin layer of glue - PVA is probably the best such as Pinflair. I then stamped out the hot dog, beefburger and tomato ketchup images onto some white stamping card and coloured them in using a variety of alcohol markers - I must admit I was quite pleased with how they turned out... The stamps are from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and I used Tuxedo Black from Memento to ink them. I also stamped out the ENJOY sentiment from a Craftwork Cards set again using the same ink and then coloured it in using Green and Purple alcohol markers.
