Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 Day Challenge is one in the very popular slimline DL format. I first of all took a normal sized DL card and used Lisa Horton's slimline die to cut the base card out. I then cut out two mat layers, one in purple (from Crafter's Companion) and the smaller one in white (any cardstock will do). I cut out the 3 different layers of the Tattered Lace Butterfly dies, again in white for the mat layer, purple for the base layer and a lighter purple for the main die cut. I glued them all together, leaving the wings free on the main one - I used Pinflair Bookbinding Glue to do this. and attached it to the centre of the white panel. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on to either side of the butterfly and then coloured it in using Purple Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.
