Happy Birthday Butterfly silhouette on floral background 6in card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I made some time ago using a couple of dies , some hand coloured paper and a sentiment stamp... How I made this card:- I had created the background paper using Gansai Tambi Metallic Watercolour paints and once it was dry I cut it out using a circle die (approx 2").  I then used another slightly large circle die from Tonic Studio's Oceana Layering Die set and cut it out in Black card. I then used the fancy circle die from the same set and cut out a larger frame using a backing paper from Creative Crafting World. Using the Butterfly Animal silhouette die from Crafter's Companion, I cut it out in black card and stuck it on to the coloured circle using PVA glue. Just Because... green and white themed flower 6" square card. Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a very quick and easy one to make but looks very stylish (well I think so anyway!)... Hunkydory have such great products and this is just one of them... How I made this card:- The base card is a 6" square one which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... The main image is a preprinted one from Hunkydory's Prism Colouring pads Volume 2.. there are several of each design so you can easily decoupage them - I have an idea as to what I might do next so watch this space! I decided that I wanted it to be just one colour and white, so coloured all the leaves in using Hunkydory's Prism Green alcohol markers - adding the lightest one first, then the darker one and then blending them together. You Don't have to be perfect....Kids flying kites on hand coloured background square card  Hi Craft addicts! I had such fun creating the background for this card using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons - the rest of the card was made using Tattered Lace Dies and a Stamp by Me stamp..... How I made this card:- I used a pre cut panel of white stamping card (6" x 6" from either Hunkydory or Rare Earth) for the base layer and began colouring the sky in using most of the blue Tim Holtz Distress Crayons - blending them in with my finger as I went - I also found that spritzing my finger with water helped smooth the edges out. I also spritzed more water on to the card and blotted it with some kitchen roll to give the impression of clouds. I then used various green crayons to create the grass, using the darker colours to add some dimension again spritzing it with water to blend it in.  I then used the Black Soot crayon towards the centre of the panel to add some landscap...

Time to Sparkle... fairies Once Upon a Twilight tag and card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a Fairy themed 6" card which I have made using the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory. How I made this card- This is made using various stages - the first being creating the background for both the tag and main topper. The former was using Red, Blues and Purples Sparkle inks from Crafter's Companion - I just painted them in strips and let each dry before moving on. For the main topper background, I used Jaquard Alcohol inks on a felt dauber (the rectangle ones) and added a few drops of red, green, blue,pink etc to it and "spread" it over a piece of transparent Yupo paper. When it was dry and I was happy with it, I then used a Tattered Lace square (with a fancy edge) to cut a panel out - it measures approx 10cm/4". Happy Birthday Floral Spray on Kraft card square card  Hi Craft addicts! I have been using a variety of techniques/cardstock to create different effects with the same stamp - this is one using White embossing powder on Kraft card.... How I made this card:- I first of all used Versamark ink to stamp the Bold Blooms - Caroline flower spray onto some Kraft card and then added some True White embossing powder and heat set it.  I then used the largest of the Scallop Layered squares die as it has a very decorative edge to it to create a topper. Using the white pencil from the Chameleon set of crayons,I coloured in the flowers. I also added some green and blue to the leaves and smaller blooms. Once I was happy with the colouring, I then attached it (with a PVA glue) to a slightly larger square of dark teal card (I think this is from an old pack of Shades stock from Tattered Lace). Crazy Genius Two for Tuesday different handmade cards Hi Craft addicts! I really love the stamps that Visible Image bring out and I thought I would try to make 2 different cards using the Crazy Genius set - but first of all I had to set aside my natural instinct not to put the gent together in the right place! How I made these cards:- I first of all stamped the three different parts of the gentleman out twice on to white stamping card using Black Gina K Amalgam ink. I then coloured them in using various alcohol markers - Prism, Spectrum Noir and Tonic's Nuvo to be exact. I cut them out and stuck them onto some black card leaving a really narrow border around them all. I then stamped the eyes in using a red ink pad (Rare Earth). For the card on the left, I used one of Toni Darroch's Synergy dies to cut out the main background (I had added this to a previous die cut as a shim but felt I could use it as a proper one)! Friend... Dog in silhouette on tesselated sunburst background 6in card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I have made using a variety of dies, some self adhesive paper and a hand painted background. One of the projects for my "Tesselating Tuesday" theme! How I made this card:- I love this Sunburst Synergy Paper Piecing die (No. 1) from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me and so I cut it out twice (it does not have a cutting edge so it stays within your card). I used Black and Teal self adhesive Metallic papers from Creativity International to do this as it is easier to paper piece if you don't have to glue each piece! I then took the backing sheet off the black die-cut and placed it on a precut piece of 6" white card (from Hunkydory, but Rare Earth do this size too).  Once I was happy that it was in the right place, I then used the backing sheet to burnish it down. Happy Birthday Floral Cupcake square card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (another one for the 100 Day challenge) is a bright and cheerful card using a Stamp set from Woodware.. How I made this card:- I stamped the Floral Cupcake stamp (it is quite a large one so I used a Stamping press to make it easier) onto white stamping card. I used Gina K Amalgam ink to do this as you can use either Watercolour paints or Alcohol markers to colour it in. For this card, I used Chameleon Alcohol markers as I have had them for ages and haven't really used them! I then cut around it as close to the edge as possible and then edged it with a blue alcohol marker. I cut out a panel of green and white spotty paper (from For The Love of Stamps 8" pad) slightly smaller than a 6" card and another slightly smaller on in white card and stuck them together. Happy Christmas Rudolph square card -  Day 341 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this Christmas card for day 341 of my challenge - this time using up items that I had cut out already but hadn't put to use! How I made this card:- Using the Rudolph die from Tonic Studios, I cut it out in back card (the outline) and stuck it to some light Kraft card and cut round it. I then used some brown alcohol markers to create shading. The first mat is a pre cut circle of white stamping card (from Hunkydory) which I coloured using Blue and Green Distress Oxide inks - to be honest I just used what was left on my dauber as there was still so much left on it! I then cut out a slightly larger circle (a Tattered Lace Torn Edge die) in Gold Mirri, The patterned mat was sold some time ago by Craftwork Cards and it has a resist layer so that when I coloured it using a variety of Dye based inks and removed the excess, it left this great pattern behind.
