Mum with flowers Mothers Day or Birthday easel card -  day 49 of my 365 day challenge Good afternoon Craft addicts! Well, the sun has gone in and it is nearly the end of the weekend but this card should make the sun shine! Very easy to make using a stencil, inks and some chipboard letters! How I made this card:- My base card is a 148mm (approx 6") white scalloped edge card and to start with I scored the front it and folded it towards the inside to give me an easel card format. I used an blue/violet alcohol marker (Spectrum Noir TB6) to add two lines on either side (I used the scallops as a guide). I put the card aside and started to make the topper which is one part of a shaped card (14x9.5cm from Hunkydory) - I used my Cutterpillar Pro to make sure I cut it in the right place... I then placed the flower stencil (from Imagination Crafts) and inked through it in various places (first of all adding the full flower so i could then work out where the others could go)...

Live - Art Deco flower on Art Deco Frame - 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! I recently got the Art Deco dies from Tattered Lace and so have made this 7" x 5" card using the frame set and the Iris flower in the same collection. I also used some Mirri card and a Tonic Studio sentiment. How I made this card:- I took the larger of the 2 Tattered Lace Art Deco Frame dies and cut it out in Mirri card - it looks silver but it has a slight bluish tinge to it which makes it more interesting. I then repeated the process using the smaller frame but this time using red cardstock. I glued both of them to a piece of Lynda Chapman's black card and cut round the frame and then added it to the front of a 7" x 5" card (from Hunkydory). I also cut out the Tattered Lace Art Deco Classic Iris in the same silvery Mirri card and glued it to the centre of the card. Two for the weekend - C6 cards Flowers and Flamingos.. Hi Craft addicts! Today, I have written about 2 C6 cards (one normal and one gatefold) that I have made using a Hunkydory Topper, some Altenew inks and some floral stamps. The first one is... Flamingo fun (white C6 card) I first of all used some "leaf" stamps (I am not sure where they are from which is a shame) and coloured the front of a C6 white straight edged card using "Olive", "Parrot" and Bamboo Altenew ink pads to create a background. I left the centre empty as I knew I would be putting a topper there. I then added some "black" leaves (using their "Jet Black" ink pad and then some small "flowers" with their "Ruby Red" ink. Taking one of the smaller "Flamingo" toppers from Hunkydory's "Bigger Book of Birthday toppers", I separated them and stuck the frame to the card and then added the oval topper to it raising it with ...

Floral hand stamped C6 card -  Day 262 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Have been trying my hand at stamping and colouring and have made this C6 card for day 262 of my 366 day challenge. To make the topper: - To make the main focal point, I first of all cut out an oval shape 100x78mm approximately in white stamping card and cut out the centre of it so it was a frame. i then coloured it using " Green G01" and "Yellow Y02" making the bottom half of it darker than the top. I then added the leaf images using Card-io's Majestix "Autumn Wreath" stamps - double stamping them to add different shades to the image (I used "Onyx Black" Versafine ink as it is much better to use for smaller/more detailed images. I repeated this on the inside of the frame.  To make the card:- Using a wavy border strip I had cut out using black card, I added it to the top and bottom of the card. Tulips (not necessarily from Amsterdam) - hand coloured -  Day 241 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used a hand coloured Tulip image on a black lattice circle frame. How to make the embellishments. ..I first of all coloured in a tulip which was pre drawn using Spectrum Noir Yellow, Orange and Green alcohol markers along with a yellow Nuvo alcohol marker. I then fussy cut it and then using a scalpel removed the inside bits. I wanted to give the flower some depth so I cut the middle flower away from the rest at the bottom of the stem and also part of the leaf. For the base layer , I cut out the largest of the Tonic Studios "Trellis Circle Base Set" dies in black cardstock. To make the card - I  glued the black layer on to a 148mm white square card and then stuck the loose tulip head on to it and then added some glue to the stems and leaves along with a double layer of foam pads to the flower head...

Flowers in a Vase - on your Special Day 6" square card -  Day 202 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! A quick card for today's challenge - this time using a Hunkydory Floral topper and a frame cut out on my Brother Scan n Cut. .. I had already cut out the "Art Deco" Square frame (from John Bloodworth, AKA the Gentleman Crafter and can be bought here ) using my Brother Scan n Cut (and CANVAS ) in purple and black and so placed the purple layer on to a 6" square card and glued it down, I then added the black layer (with the slots just placed over the ones from the purple one). I tried various square images but found this one in the "Florals" Bigger Book of Toppers and using some thin foam pads stuck it to the centre of the frame. This particular design also had the matching sentiment "With love and best wishes on your special day" so attached that to the bottom right hand corner again using some foam pads. T...

Thank you - floral 5" x 7" card (Adorable Scorable) -  day 179 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a stylish "Thank You" card using a Crafter's Companion Create a Card die template. I first of all hand coloured some white linen cardstock (I like the texture) with some distress inks (both Tim Holtz , Generation INX and DoCrafts ) to give it an "Ombre" feel  in greens , yellows and oranges and let it dry. Meanwhile, I then cut out the " Thank You " panel using the Crafter's Companion Die'sire Create a Card die in white cardstock. and left a small border round it and coloured it using " green" Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I also used one of their " red " Glitter " Sparkle pens " to colour in a couple of the flowers. I then used some " Red " and " Yellow " Nuvo crystal drops from Tonic Studios to the centres of those and a couple of ...
