Father Christmas with Post Box 135x180mm card -  Day 314 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge, I have ventured into the world of Christmas by making this card from an A4 sheet o f preprinted cardstock (I think it is from Crafter's Companion ) and a Tattered Lace Pillar box die. How I made this card:- I took the pre printed "Father Christmas" (Raymond Briggs) from Crafters Companion and cut the top border off and reattached it to the top part of the card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue I then scored it to make into the card so it now measures 135x180mm approximately. I then cut out the "Pillar Box" die (from Tattered Lace) in white card and coloured it in using a "Dark Red" alcohol marker - I did it on both sides of the die-cut so that the colour was "solid" and glued it to the left hand side of the card (making sure that I would be able to add a letter to the entrance). Hello - Feathers n Foil square 6" card -  day 167 of my 366 day challenge] Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a quick and easy card to make using the foiling function on the TODO machine. So I first of all foiled a piece of red Adorable Scorable cardstock with gold foil using the "Feathers" Hot foil and Letterpress template from TODO (I used all of them in a random pattern). As the experts say, you really do need to learn your machine as I had to try a couple of times before I was happy with the result. Using one of the Tattered Lace "Pin dot circles" dies, I then cut the card so that you can see most of the feathers.  I also cut out a jagged edged square (approx 5")  in black card ( American Crafts this time) using one of the pre-installed shapes in the Brother Scan n Cut and glued it to the front of a 6" white card. Happy birthday Mum card -  Day 66 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So I was asked to make this card for someone and thought it would be good to show how I made it today as it uses a variety of companies' products. I first of all took a A5 white card and used it as   tent fold card . I then added a strip of ultra strong red liner tape to one side of the card and added some gold foil (from TODO ) and burnished it so that it stuck to it. I then cut out a shaped mat in cream Adorable Scorable using the Tonic die " Reach for the Stars ". I also cut out the " Happy birthday" Tapestry die from Tattered Lace and coloured it in a variety of Specturm Noir alcohol markers. I didn't want the Happy birthday centre section of the die-cut so cut it out. Hand coloured flower in natural wood picture frame -  Day 42 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So, for this post, I have tried my hand at colouring a beautiful flower using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I first of all decided what colours I would like to use on the Color Book image from Chameleon - I had done one previously in darker colours but thought lighter ones would be better so chose the pink and green shades Spectrum Noir have. It was suggested that the lighting came from above so tried to make the centres of the flowers darker and blending lighter colours to the edge of each flower and leaf. I also used the blending pen to lighten it. I then added the picture (which measures 4" x 6" or 10x15cm ) on to some black card and then stuck it on to a sheet of white paper and glued it to the back of the picture frame (once again making sure that it was the right side up before closing it!)
