MUM - floral background DL card - 365 Day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addict s! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Mother's Day card using dies and patterned papers. I first of all used the largest of the slimline Balloons set of dies from Dotty Designs to cut out the background in a green shade of card (from Crafter's Companion)k I then cut out the Stamps by Me It's All about You floral paper using the next size down. I attached the smaller panel to the green background and glued it to the front of a DL white card, the corners of which I had rounded using a Prism (from Hunkydory) punch. I also cut out another of the smaller panels this time in green, but this time adding the aperture die to it as I wanted to use the "waste" as another background layer for the letters. I then used Lisa Horton's Large Stitched Alphabet letter dies (the M and U) and cut the word MUM out in white card. Using the aperture panel that I had left over, I placed the green pieces inside the spaces and glued them in us...

Bee Birthday Friend DL card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one using only one Company's products for the majority of the card and there isn't a die used at all.. read more if you want to find out which one!   I really love this collection from Paper Boutique Bumblebee Dance and this one of several I have made from it. I first of all took one of the plain block colour sheets and cut a panel out approximately 5.5" x 3"  and stuck it to a piece of Lynda Chapman's Black Card and using a guillotine cut it leaving a narrow border. I then cut out the larger bee panel topper out from the pad and stuck it to some more black card and trimmed it to fit. I rounded the edges of a cream linen effect DL card using my Prism corner punch and then stuck the largest of the panels to it using PVA glue. I then attached the smaller of the panels on top of that, this time using foam pads. I cut out the two sentiments from the paper pad, trimming them both so they fitted either side of the bee and stuck...

Happy Birthday abstract flowers large DL easel card. Hi Craft addicts! Haven't posted in a couple of days - have you missed me :) - anyway as it is #TessellatingTuesday - here is a card I have made using a Stamps by Me die and some stamps... How I made this card:- This is a lovely, bright and cheerful floral DL card (with an extension) which is a side fold card from Paper Boutique. I used the Stamps By Me Synergy - Lattice 5 Die and cut it out using a sheet of Black self adhesive paper. I didn't want the solid part of the die-cut so I snipped it off  I then removed part of the backing sheet, and gradually adhered it to some white stamping card, burnishing it down as I went. I coloured the flowers in with Pink, Dark Pink, Yellow and Orange Prism (from Hunkydory) alcohol markers. Using PVA glue, I then attached it to the front of the side-fold DL card, making sure that I only added glue to the bottom half of the hexagon shape as I wanted it to be free standin...
