Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using dies and stamps.... I decided to try a different way of using the Shabby Edge rectangle die from Tattered Lace and cut it out in a caramel coloured cardstock. I then used the Creative Expressions Slimline collection - Inner Scalloped Rectangle aperture trio die and cut out the three apertures in the card. I used the complimentary Outer Scalloped edge die and used it to cut a piece of white card. To create the striped background, I used the left over waste die cuts from a Lisa Horton die and coloured through it with various pastel hybrid inks - from Tim Holtz Distress Oxide to Aladine Izink ink cubes. I then attached it to the back of the caramel card using PVA glue and then added the white aperture frame on top of them both. Hi Craft addicts!      I have created a series of cards using the Autumn Blessings collection from Crafter's Companion along with various other products to complete them! I had great fun making this simple but effective DL card. I used a variety of Aladine Izink sprays and spritzed a yellow piece of card (from Tattered Lace) to create an Autumn feel background and left it to dry. Once it was, I used the Skeleton Leaves Die set from the Autumn Blessings collection and cut the three leaves out. I had previously used Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Slimline Decorative Rectangle Aperture Trio die and cut some of Lynda Chapman's Black card I then stuck it on to some gold mirror card and trimmed it to fit and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I then used a dotty tape pen (from Crafter's Companion Gemini range) to stick the leaves inside the apertures and then stuck it to the front of a DL card (having previously cut the corners of the card and scored three lines on the...

  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective A6 card using two dies..... I first of all used some Gold Mirror card and cut out the Mouse and poppy die from Creative Expressions Paper Panda range. I then cut out the rectangle frame from Lynda Chapman's Black card (from Creative Crafting World) using the Mini Lace die set from Tattered Lace. I used a tape pen to attach the die cut to the panel (trying to avoid getting marks on the Mirror card) - but I think next time I will use self-adhesive paper. I then rounded the corners of an A6 cream card using a Prism corner punch (from Hunkydory) and stuck the panel in to the centre of it again using a dotty pen (I used a Crafter's Companion one). The With Love sentiment is a stamped one from Lisa Horton's Banner Sentiments stamp and die set - which is one stamp and die that you stamp first and then place the die over it and cut all the various sentiments out. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a bright and cheerful one using toppers and dies with a Gnome theme. I decided to use an A6 white card and so rounded the corners using my Hunkydory Prism punch. I used the Creative Expressions Shabby Basics Cheesecloth die and cut it out using Sheena Douglass's Kraft card. Using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs) I dragged them across the die cut to give it a bit of depth and heat set it so it didn't come off on my hand! I used a dotty tape pen to attach it to the front of the card - this pen is great as the glue only lands on the card and doesn't "string". I wanted to use the Gnome collection from Paper Boutique/Creative Crafting World and decided that the floral and gnomes on flowerpots toppers would be idea. I trimmed two of the floral toppers to measure 2.5" x 1.5" and stuck them to the middle of the card again with a tape pen, this time a soli...

  Hi Craft addicts!       I really love these dies from Creative Expressions and was very pleased how this card turned out. I scored the right hand side of a 7" white card (so many Companies produce these) with my Adorable Scoreboard from Hunkydory about 8 times varying the space width for some of them. I cut out the Lady with Rose die using some of Lynda Chapman's Black card. I had created a lot of sunset backgrounds using Tim Holtz's Distress Crayons from Ranger and selected this one to have behind the die cut.  Before sticking it down, I stabilised the crayons with some cheap hairspray so it wouldn't rub away and then glued the lady on with PVA glue - you could have used a self adhesive sheet to save any glue seeping through. I then attached it to the left hand side of the card again with PVA glue. I stamped out the Thanks a bunch sentiment (from a Lisa Horton collection) on to some white card, added it to some black card (having given them both a wavy edge) ...

Hi Craft Addicts! Two for the price of one today - two Mother's Day card that have been made using just dies. I made the two DL cards using a) Hunkydory Adorable Scorable for the top card and 300gsm white card for the bottom one. I used the largest of the Dotty Designs die to cut two pieces and scored one of them at the top (approximately 1/2" and then added some Red liner tape and attached them to make the card. I had decided already that I wanted to use them as Landscape cards but you could used them as portrait too! I then cut out the middle sized die in brown card and then the aperture card in white (for the bottom card). I also cut out the MUM sentiment from the Carousel alphabet dies from Creative Expressions using some Stamps by Me background Paper (from the All About You paper pad). For the top card I stuck the brown layer using PVA glue and then added the waste circles on to the front of the card, hopefully making the spaces equal. For the bottom card, I attached the ...
