Congratulations - Sunflowers and butterfly square card

Image
Congratulations - Sunflowers and butterfly square card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is one I have made using the Sunflower shaped Lisa Horton Die, some alcohol markers and stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the Lisa Horton's Broken Tiles (Sunny Days) die set in black card and then the backing mat layer (which cuts out solid) in white and glued them together using PVA glue. Once it was dry, I then coloured the flowers in with Orange and Yellow alcohol markers blending them in. I found the waste backing sheet from a Butterfly (from Paper Boutique) I had cut out some time ago and thought it would make a good addition to this card so glued it to the bottom left hand side of the topper again with PVA glue. I attached the whole thing to the front of a 5" white card using PVA glue and added some Black Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios. Finally, I used the Congratulations sentiment stamp from a For the Love of Stamps set and stamped it using the Orange Ha...

On your Special day... bubbles and lace 7x5in card. Hi Craft addicts! Well it is Tessellating Tuesday so I have made this card using dies from Tattered Lace and Creative Expressions.... How I made this card:- I must admit that I had used the Bubbles/Balloons die before (it is from Lisa Horton's Broken Tiles Collection by Creative Expressions and is called Circular Dreams.. I cut them out a couple of times in black pearlescent linen effect card using both of them at the same time (taping them together to make sure they didn't cross over). I then stuck them both to some white card using PVA glue and coloured a few of the spaces in using a blue alcohol marker. You can keep the waste for other projects if you like... I used PVA glue to attach them in opposite corners of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card leaving a space in between them. I took a scrap piece of paper (about 3.5" x 2.5" and coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer's Opal Polishes (Par...

Hope your Birthday is amazing...foliage black and green square card Hi Craft addicts! I am having great fun making these backgrounds using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and the Broken Tiles die set from Lisa Horton/Creative Expressions. How I made this card:- I cut out the main topper (Lisa Horton's Broken Tiles Dragonfly die set) using Black Pearlescent card from Create & Craft. There are three dies for this particular part of  the card and I used the main square and foliage to cut it out. I used my Gemini machine for this I did wonder what sort of background would work and decided that one that I had created using various green Tim Holtz Distress Crayons on Yupo paper (translucent) would work really well as it gives a slightly misty look. I cut a square out and stuck it to the back of the main topper using a PVA glue making sure that there was no glue on the Yupo paper. I then stamped the foliage in each corner and sentiment (I think it is from Gina K) on to the ...

Because You're Amazing... abstract bubbles square  blue card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is #TesselatingTuesday here and so have made this really bright and cheerful card using just one die, some alcohol markers and a Sentiment stamp from Honey Bee Stamps. How I made this card:- I used the Circular Dreams die set by Lisa Horton from Creative Expressions and cut the bubble duo (frame and inner design) out twice using Black Core Collections Linen effect card from Create and Craft. I risked it and cut the two dies out at the same time so I knew it would be a proper fit... I also cut out the main background layer out twice, this time using White card. I did wonder how I would use them but decided to glue the main design on to the white card and see what came! Inspiration (of sorts) arrived, and I coloured one lot of the bubbles using a red alcohol marker, and the other with a blue one. I then trimmed around both of them leaving a narrow border and glued them to opposit...
