Have a Magical Day Fairy and owl 6in easel card Hi Craft addicts! I wanted to try my hand at stamping and colouring the image in using Distress Inks/Dye based inks and am quite pleased with how this turned out! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat layer from Tattered Lace's Engaging Elements Circle Frame set in white cardstock and then the foliage frame in green. I put the latter to one side and using one of the Fairies from Rare Earth's Pixie Forest A4 stamp set, I stamped it out using Obsidian Gina K Amalgam ink and left it to dry for a bit. Using Tim Holtz's Bundled  Sage and Evergreen Bough Distress inks, I squished a bit onto a glass mat and then using a waterbrush coloured her dress in trying to blend them in so there was dark and light areas. Congratulations space themed personalised square card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I made for a friend of my daughter and as she has now got it I can show how I made it.... How I made this card:- I first of all used shades of blue Kuretake's Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create the background on some white stamping card (or you could use watercolour card if you want a textured finish) and left it to dry naturally. To prevent it curling, I taped it down on to a glass mat and let it dry there... I then used the Planets circle die from Paper Boutique and cut it out from the above background. I used the Mat layer die from the same set and cut out a slightly larger circle on which I glued the topper using PVA glue. I didn't have an exact match to the painted background so used one sheet of Create & Craft's Core Collection linen effect paper to create the background (slightly smaller than the 6" square card) and stuck it to it using a PVA...

Special Friend watercolour flower spray square card Hi Craft addicts! Today is "Watercolour Wednesday" (am trying to think of ways in which to theme the projects I make).. and so the card I have made is using the stamps and co-ordinating dies from Thirsty Brush and watercolour paints (my first attempt at doing this type of thing..) How I made this card:- I had made a card using the fancy edge ages ago but it didn't go quite right so I threw the front away but kept the back and used it for the background. I first of all stamped the large floral spray (from the Modern Floral stamp and die collection)  using Versamagic, covered it with True White Embossing powder and heat set it. Once it had cooled down a little bit, I painted the flowers and leaves using Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me Watercolour paints (her Wheel) - the embossed areas meant that the paints kept within the specific parts. Floral stained glass effect square card on red and gold background Hi Craft addicts! Well I haven't quite managed to do my blog every other day but here is a card that I have made recently. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the frame using the Cherish Every Moment die set from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) using the main die for the mat in Gold Mirror Card (Hunkydory or Kanban) and then used the frame and main die to cut out the ornate heart frame in red card. I then stuck the frame on to the mat using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I used the square die within the set to cut out the next layer again in the Gold Mirror Card. The floral bouquet die cut is one from Tattered Lace and I used a self adhesive black paper to do it and attached it on to some white card. Once I had burnished it down sufficiently, I used a variety of alcohol markers to colour it in to try and give it a stained glass effect.  I then attached it to the gold mat and then used ...

Love the Bones of you.... square card -  Day 294 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge (nearly day 300) is a very quick and simple fun card using dies from Paper Boutique. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat layer from the Love the Bones of You die set using black card. I then cut out the skull layer using white card and stuck it on top of the mat. Using the circle die within the set, I then cut out another mat in black card. I also cut out the sentiment and accompanying mat layer in orange and black and stuck them together using PVA glue. I attached the main mat and layer on to a 6" white pearlescent card using PVA glue. I then attached the black circle in the middle, this time using some thin foam pads. Finally, I added the sentiment on top of that, this time using PVA glue. A nd there you are  - a homemade/handmade card that was made using only a few products but is fun but stylish to send for Hall...

Hay There cute animals with rainbow in window apertures 6" card - Day 138 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 138 of my challenge was really fun to make - once again using Distress inks and stamps from For The Love of Stamps Hunkydory collection. How I made this card:- I first of all cut a window aperture card in 2 and removed the panels in each quarter (to be used another time!) and used a Rare Earth Woodgrain stamp to colour the front of the window using Rusty Hinge Tim Holtz Distress ink and put it aside to dry. I then stamped out the donkey, cow and pig on to some white stamping card using Onyx Black Memento ink and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (brown shades along with pink ones for the pig). Floral Hugs and kisses 6in scalloped edged card -  Day 11 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is a really stunning card made using a Stamps by Me floral die and the sentiments from For the Love of Stamps collection from Hunkydory. How I made this card:- I had cut this flower out in black card from a Stamps by Me die before I realised that it only cut within the cardstock, I didn't want to waste it so just cut around it leaving a wide border. I then stuck it to the front of a 6in scalloped edged linen effect white card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (you could also use Pinflair's Glue-it glue) It looked really striking in black and white but felt it might be good to add a bit of colour, so I used an Orange Zig Clean Color Pen to fill in the centre of the flower and two shades of their Green pens to paint several of the stems and leaves. Fairy and owl 6in blank (no message) scalloped edged card.. Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a fantasy inspired 6" scalloped edged card using Tonic Studios and Tattered Lace Dies along with some Heartfelt Creations backing paper and some Mirri card, How I made this card:- I took a 6" panel from the "Winking Frogs" 12x12in Paper pad (from Heartfelt Creations) and trimmed it to fit a 6in scalloped edged white card and glued it to the front of it using CS All Purpose glue. I then cut out the background panel (not sure which die I used) in Silver Mirri card and also one of the Tattered Lace "Trio of owls" in the same card. I also cut out the "Fairy" panel (from Tonic Studios) in white card and coloured the Fairy's hair using a Tan coloured alcohol marker. The "Butterfly" was also coloured in using "Orange and Yellow" markers. The "Owl" was coloured again using alcohol markers to make it stand out...
