Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one uses stamps and dies from a variety of Companies.... I first of all stamped the Scribbly owl from Jane Gill's Woodware range on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Obsidian black ink.  I also added the Happy Birthday to you sentiment directly stamping it on to the topper. I then coloured it in using both Spectrum Noir Triblender markers (brown shades) along with some other colours for the eyes and flowers - you could of course colour it in using any media! I also used some of Tim Holtz's Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on a glass mat, spritzed it with some water and then added an edge to the design. I used the largest of the Petit Picot edge Rectangle dies from Spellbinders (I really love this design) and cut it out and then trimmed it slightly to give a different effect to the border.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun owl themed card.... I wanted to try swapping the stamping and creating the background around so I stamped the Owl and the sentiment from a Creative Expressions set on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian black ink. I then used the Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders (they come in a variety of colours and what is so great is that you never really know what the result is going to be once you add some water to them). I used some kitchen roll to remove the excess water from it which also softened the colours too. Once it was dry I used the Spellbinders Petite Picot edge rectangle die and cut the image out and attached it to a slightly larger panel of dark green cardstock and glued the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card towards the top of the card leaving a space at the bottom (about 3/4").   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is a general card using just stamps and colouring pencils. I took the Little Owl stamp from Sweet Dixie and stamped it on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then coloured it in using shades of brown and green Stabilo Green Color Arty pencils which are FSC certified which is brilliant! They also blend in really well too which is a definite bonus. I then stamped the "You make me smile" sentiment just below the owl on the right hand side again using Gina K ink. I trimmed the panel to approximate 4.5" square and stuck it to a slightly larger panel of light green card (from Crafter's Companion) using PVA glue and then added that to another slightly larger panel of darker green (again from Crafter's Companion). I wanted to add some splats, so watered down the Absinthe Green Neon Cosmic Shimmer polish and spattered it with a paint brush. I then added some green self adhesive gems to the pane...

Hi Craft addicts!       I really love the effect these paper cuts dies create and so I hope you will find it interesting in how I made it as it is very simple to make... I created the sunrise background using a variety of Hybrid inks from Tim Holtz and Simon Hurley from Ranger - yellows, oranges and red, blending them in until I was happy with the effect and left it to dry properly. I edged it with a black alcohol marker. I used the Owl Best Wishes Creative Expressions Paper Cut die and cut it out in Lynda Chapman's black card and attached it to the background with glue. I left the Best Wishes "waste" for another project. I then added it to a white A2 Card (from Tonic Studios) using PVA glue. And there you are a very quick and easy card to make that looks as if you are a lot cleverer than you are! Hi Craft addicts! This card turned out better than I thought it would so hope you like it too! I first of all took a 7x5in white card and rounded the corners using the Prism punch from Hunkydory. I then stamped the geometric owl from Thirsty Brush using Gina K Obsidian Black ink on to some white stamping card. I coloured it in using a couple of Brown shades of Spectrum Noir Triblenders along with an orange shade for his eyes (it could of course be a girl but feel it is a male one). I felt it was quite stark so decided to stamp the leaves on either side of the Owl again using the same ink having used tape to mask him off. The stamp a panel one from Avago.  I removed the tape and then used Crackling Campfire Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink to colour the whole image, masking off the owl before hand - I deliberately made the leaves darker than the centre part of the panel as I thought it was a good effect. Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a quick and easy one that I made using watercolour crayons and stamps... I first of all took a piece of watercolour card and cut it to 3.5" square and rounded the edges with a Prism Corner punch from Hunkydory. I then rounded the corners of a 4" square card and scored it once around all 4 corners using my Hunkydory Scoreboard. I used the three shades of blue/purple Himi Silky Crayons to create the background - blending them all in with a paintbrush.  Once it was dry, I added some of the white Himi Silky Crayons to add some clouds, this time blending them in with my finger. I stamped out the Owl and the log on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink (the stamp set is part of the Owl set from Avago Ink Designs which is part of Stamps by Me) and coloured them in using 2 brown Spectrum Noir Triblenders. Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a mix of dies, stamps, alcohol markers and inks! I first of all rounded the corners of a white DL card using the Prism (from Hunkydory) Corner punch. I then cut out the lacy edge DL panel in white watercoloured card and coloured it in using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in blues and greens to create an ombre effect. I had already cut out the dark blue panel out previously (it is from Dotty Designs Slimline dies) and attached it to the larger panel on top of it using PVA glue. I used PVA glue also to attach both panels to a large piece of bright blue card and used my We R Memory Keepers Guillotine to trim to size. I then rounded the corner of that too and stuck it to the front of the DL card again using PVA glue - I use either Dawn Bibby or Pinflair's Bookbinding glue as I find that neither of them block up the nozzle when not in use.   Well hello! It is such an age since I last did a blog but thought as we are in the New Year I better start doing one again! This first card for 2021 is one that I was really pleased with how it turned out... so here's how I did it. 1) I used the Geometric Owl die from Thirsty Brush and cut it out - using some black Lynda Chapman's cardstock which I had previously attached to some Wild Spider self adhesive paper. 2) I then stuck it to some Kraft card and cut around it. I also used a Pigma Micron pen and added some "Zentangle" to some of the spaces. 3) Using a Tattered Lace circle die (with a scalloped edge), I cut a circle and then embossed it with Lisa Horton's Circles 3D folder. 4) I coloured the circle using Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and glued the owl on top of it. 5) I also cut out a square of Brown paper or card (from Crafter's Companion 12" pad) and rounded the corners using a Prism corner punch and stuck it to the front of a 6...

Happy Birthday - owl on starry background A6 white linen card  Hi Craft addicts! Today's quick and easy card (well it is the weekend after all) is one I made using some inks, stamps and an Owl topper from Hunkdyory.. How I made this card:- I have had this owl topper (from Hunkydory's Stylish Silhouettes series) for some time and finally found a way to use it. I first of all cut out the rectangle background using Tattered Lace Lacy pin dot die (approx 2.5" x 2") with some white card. I took it out of the die and coloured it in using Salty Ocean, Broken China and Seedless Preserves Tim Holtz Distress Inks along with some Gina K Obsidian Amalgam ink at the top blending them in to create a sky scene.  Using Moonlight White Brilliance Archival ink, I "smooshed" it on to a Craft mat and spritzed some water on it, and with a paintbrush splattered some on to the topper and left it to dry.
