Christmas 2021 - Brrr.... 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Christmas card themed one using dies, stamps and alcohol markers. I rounded the corners of an A6 Kraft card (from Tonic Studios) using my Hunkydory punch. I then took a piece of white card, cut it to fit the front of the card and also rounded the corners of that too and attached it using a solid Tape pen (either Create & Craft or Crafter's Companion). I cut out the oval frame using Spellbinders Oval Petit Picot edged die in both the brown Metallink card (from Paper Dienamics) without the centre die and then again in white card, this time adding it so that I could use it to stamp on. I stamped the Snowman image (part of Crafter's Companion Wobblers collection) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using alcohol markers. I then used some residue ink left on my blending brushes to colour its' background and then stuck it to the oval frame using the tape pen. I decided to attach it to one...

Hello My Friend Abstract flower A2 Kraft card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a bright and cheerful card that should bring some fun to anyone you send it to... I first of all rounded the corner of an A2 Kraft card (from Tonic Studios) with a Hunkydory Prism punch. I then took one of Hunkydory's Tags (from their pad) and masked off two areas - one about 1.5" from the top and another at the bottom with some of their Washi tape. I painted the areas with Lava Orange Neon polish from Creative Expressions and left it to dry and then repeated the process and again left it to dry. I removed the masking tape and then added some wide red liner tape to just below the painted areas, removed the backing layer and placed some black foil over it and burnished it until there was no sticky parts on it. I then repeated the process again at the top. I used the abstract flower stamp from the Dylusions set, and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I colou...

Bird's House Celebrate card...

Bird's House Celebrate card... Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun with this die from Sue Baker to make this Celebrate card... here's how I made it.... How I made this card:- I cut out the Bird's House die from one of Sue Baker's collection in a pale Kraft card. I also cut out one of the birds and a leaf in white cardstock./ I attached the Bird's House to the front of a 5" square scalloped edged card using Pinflair's Bookbinding glue. I then stuck the heart that came from the middle toward the top left hand side of the card again using Pinflair glue.  Using the Celebrate sentiment stamp which is part of a collection by Creative Expressions, I stamped it directly on to the front of the card using Black Gina K ink. I then added the bird and leaf on to the relevant parts of the design and used a Black fineliner pen to outline inside the heart. Finally, I coloured some plain self adhesive pearls with an orange alcohol marker and added ...

Blank Monochrome C5 (150x203mm) gatefold card (Kraft, Cream and white) -  Day 181 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a monochrome C5 (150x203mm) gatefold card usiing Spellbinders/Creative Expressions dies. The card itself is hammered card which was already cut and can be obtained from Craft Creations here  which are really useful when you don't have time to make them yourself (or can't be bothered to do all the measuring!). I first of all used a sheet of the " beige " textured paper from the " Wonderful Washing Lines " 8" paper pad from Craftwork Cards and cut it to fit the centre of the card and stuck it in using Collall All purpose glue. For the front of the card, I used the Sue Wilson "French" Collection border die from Creative Expressions and cut 2 strips out using a pale Kraft card (which can be bought from Craft Creations).and glued them to the edges of both " gates " as I do thin...

Best wishes Cheetah on branch Pollyanna Pickering card -  Day 87 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Happy Easter to you all! The weather can't seem to make up its' mind today so have been busy making this card and thought I would share it with you. I wanted to try out one of the stunning toppers included in the Pollyanna Pickering "A Walk in the Wild" card popper pad and so chose the beautiful cheetah image lying on a branch in front of an incredible moon. I felt it needed more depth and so added it on to w hite/silver spotted and then black card. I then glued it to a frame I had cut out the middle frame from the " Venetian Lace Layering Die se t" from Tonic Studios in Kraft card, Once it was all stuck, I then used some foam pads to place it on a white 6 " square scalloped edged card. The sentiment " Best Wishes " comes in the pad too so I cut it out leaving a small white border and then placed it on to some of ...

Blank bird in purple card DL kraft card - Day 85 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Happy Easter folks - for today's post, I have made a simple but effective DL card, this time using Kraft card. I first of all cut out the left hand bird in p urple mirri card using the " Songbird " reflections die from the Songbird die collection from Create and Craft. I then cut out the relevant backing panel from the same collection and stuck the bird to it. I then added some faux stitching around it just to highlight it. and coloured a couple of the flowers with a purple alcohol marker. I also cut out two border strips in a paler Kraft colour (from Craft Creations) using the Tattered Lace " Pearl Border " dies and stuck them to the bottom of the card. I then glued the white panel on top of that. I have fallen in love with the Clear Crystal drops from the Nuvo range from Tonic Studios so added some drops to both borders and allowed them to dry cl...

Ornate and elegant flower in Kraft card DL landscape - Day 79 of my 366 day challenge

Ornate and elegant flower in Kraft card DL landscape -  Day 79 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! I have to say that I really like the " monochrome" effect of this card and had been wanting to make it for some time but only really decided how I wanted it last night! I had cut out the flower which is the Tattered Lace Opulent Over the Edge die in Kraft card and wanted the main flower to be highlighted in white, so I stuck the die-cut onto some white card and cut round it so that only the petals showed the white. I then used a white Kuretake Woodcraft marker and highlighted the other petals so they stood out too. As I mentioned earlier, I wanted this to be mainly kraft coloured and so cut the border strip (again a Tattered Lace die - this time the Essentials Pearl border strip in a paler kraft colour (you can get different shades from Craft Creations here   ). This die allows you to make your own choice as to how wide the strip which is really useful. ...
