Lovely Friend... flowers 7x5in tent fold card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one that could be sent to a friend you haven't seen for some time! I decided to stamp the flower spray (from the Sending Smiles die and stamp collection from Stamps by Me) directly on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card which I used as a tent fold card. Before stamping it, I rounded the corners using my Prism punch from Hunkydory. I put the card in a stamping platform and stamped it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink a couple of times to make sure it was perfect.  I also stamped the Lovely Friend sentiment at the same time at the bottom of the card. I then added some masking tape and inked the left hand side of the card with a mix of Izink Dye based ink pads. I added a narrow strip of red liner tape, removed the backing and placed some black foil on top of it and burnished it so that there was no stickiness left. As the image was stamped directly on to the card, I could only used pencils and so used a mix of Stabi...

It's Your Birthday.. Let's Party! Dachshund A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one using only stamps from Sheena Douglass and inks from Izink. I decided I wanted to stamp directly on to the front of a card, so used an acrylic stamping block to stamp the Dachshund (from Sheena Douglass's Guess Who set from her Halfway There collection). I used Gina K's Obsidian Black ink for this as I can use both Watercolour or Alcohol inks. I then coloured it in using Stabilo FSC pencils (Brown, Yellow and Orange shades) and then coloured his ruff in with reds and pinks. I again used Gina K's ink to stamp the sentiment from the same collection directly underneath the image. As I felt the card looked a bit "grey", I decided to add some rainbow colours to it and so used Izinks (from Aladine) Dye inks - red, yellow and blue. Always Bee Yourself.... handmade Bee circle card - 365 Day Challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's card for my 365 Day challenge is one that I have made from scratch using Dies and Stamps and a couple of crayons! I first of all cut out two pieces of white cardstock (approx 300gsm) using the scalloped edged circle die from Lisa Horton (but lots of other Companies produce them). I then scored one of them towards the top of the circle (about 3/4") and added some red liner tape to it, removed the backing and stuck the two pieces of card together making sure the edges matched. I decided that rather creating the image on a topper that I could attach to it, I would do it directly on to the front of the card (this meant I couldn't use alcohol markers as they would have bled through to the back). I needed to create the scene so decided to use a stamping platform - I used a load n fold one for this but you could use any that are on the market. I first of all added the two parts of the wreath (from the Bee-Yuotiful Collection from Crafter's ...

Beautiful... Floral spray on oval background 7" x 5" card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one I really enjoyed making using stamps, dies, alcohol markers and pencils ( and yes it is a white card).... I have also added a couple of pictures showing the difference between just alcohol markers and adding the pencils. I first of all cut out a piece of white stamping card using the largest of theSpellbinders Petit Picot edge oval die set. I then stamped out the Floral Spray stamp image on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and left it to dry a bit. I coloured it in first of all using pastel shades from the Sketching set of Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens and this is the result. As you can see, it is very pale and I could have left it like that but felt that I wanted to see how different it would be if I used Stabilo FSC pencils on top and so coloured half in and again this is how it turned out (and you can definitely see how vibrant they became).. So I then coloured the rest in (see the main...

Made with Love... Gnomes and a Cream Tea A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one using just a topper, some crayons and a stamp! I used one of the toppers that Creative Crafting World produced in their Paper Boutique Colour Me Toppers Summer Gnomes range and coloured it in using my Stabilo FSC pencils. Once I had finished colouring it in, I used the ink that was left one one of my blender brushes to colour in the background. I then trimmed it so it would fit the front of an A6 white card. I used a black fineliner pen to add a bit of faux stitching to the edge of it and then attached it to the card using a tape pen. I then stamped out the Made for you with Love sentiment as I thought it appropriate with the Jam and scones etc using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink on white card, cut around it and then coloured the With Love in with a alcohol marker and attached it to the bottom of the card with foam pads. So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:- Follow us on Tw...
