Lovely Friend... flowers 7x5in tent fold card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card is one that could be sent to a friend you haven't seen for some time!
- I decided to stamp the flower spray (from the Sending Smiles die and stamp collection from Stamps by Me) directly on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card which I used as a tent fold card.
- Before stamping it, I rounded the corners using my Prism punch from Hunkydory.
- I put the card in a stamping platform and stamped it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink a couple of times to make sure it was perfect.
- I also stamped the Lovely Friend sentiment at the same time at the bottom of the card.
- I then added some masking tape and inked the left hand side of the card with a mix of Izink Dye based ink pads.
- I added a narrow strip of red liner tape, removed the backing and placed some black foil on top of it and burnished it so that there was no stickiness left.
- As the image was stamped directly on to the card, I could only used pencils and so used a mix of Stabilo FSC and Prismacolor to colour it in. I used a mix of shades of green and then Orange, Yellow and Red for the flowers and sentiment.
- I realised it did need something else, so I cut some of the bees from a Paper Boutique collection and stuck them near the sentiment and in the top right hand corner.
- Finally I took some Aubergine Watercolour ink from Sheena Douglass, placed it into a palette, added some water and spattered it over the card.
