On Your Special Day cream A6 card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's handmade card is one I really enjoyed making...

  • I used a base cream/ivory A6 card and rounded the corners of it using a Hunkydory Prism punch.
  • I then cut out the backing layer using the Petit Picot Edge rectangle die from Spellbinders and coloured it in using reds/oranges and yellows Hybrid inks before removing it from the die.
  • Once I was happy with the blending, I put it to one side whilst I made the topper.
  • I stamped out the honey jar from the Bee-utiful collection from Crafter's Companion's Natures Garden range on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • I coloured it in using Red and Yellow Spectrum Noir Tri-blenders which were slightly darker in colour to the background but still co-ordinated with it.
  • I used my fingers to shape it a bit and added it to the background with foam pads (double in the centre so it was domed).
  • I also stamped out the On Your Special Day sentiment from another of Lisa Horton's sentiment collection on to white card, fussy cut around it and then added it to a scrap of pink cardstock, fussy cut around that and added it to the bottom of the card with foam strips.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
