Happy Birthday to You.. rainbows and sun A6 card - 365 day challenge

 Hi Craft addicts!

Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a bright and cheerful one that I have made into a Birthday card but the sentiment could be anything you want!

  • I didn't want to use the rainbow stamp from Crafter's Companion Look for Rainbows slider collection and so just stamped it four times, North, South, East and West using Gina K Obsidian Black ink on to some white stamping card.
  • I then stamped the sun image using the same ink in the spaces.
  • I coloured the rainbows in using Spectrum Noir Tri-blender markers and used the Yellow one for the sun.
  • I trimmed the topper so it was smaller than an A6 white card, and edged it with a black alcohol marker.
  • I attached it to a piece of green Mirri card (with a tape pen as I find a PVA glue can mark the Mirri card.
  • I then trimmed that after rounding the corners of both the topper and the card itself.
  • I used the solid tape pen once again to stick it to the card.
  • Finally, I stamped the "Happy Birthday to You" sentiment (from Crafter's Companion sentiment folder) on to some white card and fussy cut around it.
  • Before placing it on to the card, I coloured it in using the same Yellow alcohol marker, edged it with a black alcohol marker and then stuck it to the card with foam pads.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
