Be Happy Stained glass effect butterfly A6 card -  Day 218 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a quick and easy A6 card that I made using Stamps by Me stamp, a stencil, alcohol markers and inks. How I made this card:- I cut out the butterfly using one of the Stamps by Me dies in black card and stuck it on to some white using Midas Touch Sticky dots (my new favourite way of attaching fiddly die cuts to something else - I will try the Sticky roll too soon!) I coloured it in using a variety of alcohol markers (trying to blend colours in to make them stand out more). I then cut it out leaving a narrow border around it. Using an oval mask (from a mixed 7" set from Clarity Stamps, I inked the external part of it using orange, red and brown inks (Hunkydory's Prism and Altenew red), trying to give it a feathered effect. I then stamped the Happy sentiment (from Craftwork Cards) directly on to the front of the card as it gives a sort of rop...

Love is all you need C5 linen effect card - House and tree in silhouette - day 6 of my 365 day challenge

Love is all you need C5 linen effect card - House and tree in silhouette  D ay 6 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that I had started out thinking of it being a home decor piece but I then thought it would look better as a card! How I made this card:- I| used a C5 white linen effect card and used it landscape instead of portrait. I first of all used a black fineliner pen to add a border (using one of the scallops as a guide to make it equal) I had previously cut out the ornate rectangle using a Spellbinders die and whilst it was still in it, coloured it in using dark shades of green and black Distress/Pigment inks to create sky scene. It also mean that the border had some of the colours too which added some depth to the frame. I then attached it to a sheet of green paper (from the Rainbow Radiance paper pad from Hunkydory) and trimmed it to fit (allowing for a small border). I cut out the house and tree using the Forest Pines d...

Thinking of you - foiled flower technique -  Day 242 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's project for my 366 day challenge is a simple but stylish "Thinking of You" card that uses a foiled flower as the main focal point. How to make the flower embellishment -  I first of all took the Daisy Letterpress and Hot foiling template and used some blue foil on the TODO machine . I then cut it out using the accompanying die in some "yellow" Adorable Scorable cardstock.(I will be adding a "tutorial" to my website shortly as to how to do this) I then used an oval lacy edged die (think this is either a Tattered Lace or Tonic one (really must write things down before I forget what ones I use) in "red" Mirri card. To make the card up... I took a 5" white card and using the "Thinking of you" Line writing sentiment stamp from Clarity Stamps, stamped it out in "Red - RA01 ) ink from...

Thinking of You - butterflies white on white 5" x 7" card -  Day 231 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a simple but stylish white on white card (with a touch of gold) "Thinking of You" Butterfly card using a Tattered Lace frame die and a beautiful main "butterfly" from Sheena Douglass. First of all, I cut out the "Starlight Square" (butterflies) die in white card and added some colour to a few of the flowers using OR2 (Orange) Spectrum Noir alcohol marker. I then glued it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card - as usual I have used one from Hunkydory. I then cut out the large "butterfly" from the "All of a flutter" die from Sheena Douglass again in white card and coloured it slightly using what was left on some "smoothies" sponges as I didn't want it to be too "dark". Using some Tattered Lace "Detail" glue (for the 1st ti...

Fairy on hummingbird hand coloured C5 cream card - Day 220 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made another card for day 220 of my 366 day challenge , this time using a Pinflair Background Artist image of a fairy on hummingbird (in silhouette) which I have hand coloured and then stamped a similar dandelion image on a scalloped edge C5 cream card. To make the main topper - I used one of the " fantasy" themed panels which has the fairy on a humminghbird and dandelion already printed on it which you can get from Pinflair. here  and cut one out leaving a very small border around it.  I wanted it to have a more mystical feel to it (more like the Aurora Borealis lights ) and so used various shades of green* (from Tim Holtz , Generation INX ), along with some of their red, blues, and yellow colours until I was happy. I also then used some Mementio Tuxedo Black ink to create the darker sky at the top and also used some paper to mask off...

Special Wishes - With Love - Butterfly 7" square card -  Day 152 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have had this " Bohemian Dreams" paper collection from Craftwork Card s for some time and thought I would make something from it (along with a butterfly from another of their kits.                                                                                                                                                   I first of all covered the clock template in Cosmic Shimmer "Pearl Lustre" Metallic Gilding polish and let it dry and having decided that I didn't think the cardstock was ...

Bottles Galore Happy Birthday 5" x 7" card -  Day 137 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts So for today's card, I have made this " Happy birthday" card which has a Hunkydory topper as the main focal point. I first of all cut out two panels using the Tattered Lace "Pin dot rectangles" in different shades of blue cardstock. I then placed some blue "Organza" ribbon around the centre of the darker of the blue card. I then used the " Happy Birthday" script style stamp to create a border around the edge of the light blue cardstock. (( used Memento Onyx black i nk) and stuck the whole panel on to the brighter blue card. Once that was done, I stuck the whole thing on to the front of the 5" x 7" card using Collall All Purpose glue to give me some "wiggle" time. I then added the Hunkydory "bottles" topper in the centre of it using some foam pads to raise it up a bit. I haven't pu...
