Time passing - with love clocks 6in card -  Day 244 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today, I have tried to use different ways of using things, so have used some papers from the "Bohemian Dreams" 8" paper pad collection along with some " Silver" mirri card. To make the card - I first of all cut a piece of the "numbered" paper to 135mm square and glued it to the front of a 6" inch white card. I then took a sheet of the "Silver" Mirri Card and embossed it using the "Small Polka Dots" folder from DoCrafts. I then cut it down to 128mm and attached it to the card so that there was a narrow border remaining. After that, I cut out the "clocks" from the "Bohemian Dreams" collection (2 sheets) and fussy cut them and glued them one on top of another at irregular angles. To finish it off, I added some "Chaton Rose" crystal drops on some of the raised d...

Floral (Graphic45) design on blank 6" card -  Day 215 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Graphic 45 and Craftwork Cards come together to make today's 6" white card f or my 366 day challenge - day 215 which I can't believe! So first of all, I used a pre-embossed diamond checked 6" square card from Craftwork Cards and coloured the panel that was embossed with red and orange Generation INX pads - (I like these as they give quite a muted look). I then cut a piece of paper and placed it over part of the pattern at an angle and coloured it with some green ink (repeating it at the top and side too). I then cut a strip of the "tartan" paper/card that comes in the "Raining Cats and Dogs" 12" paper pad from Graphic 45 (but it does appear in some others too). and stuck it to the edge of the embossed panel. I also added the "yellow" jagged edged strip of card that I had cut out using my Brother Sca...

Birds on branch on a patchwork frame using Hunkydory kit - Day 191 of my 366 day challenge

Birds on branch on a patchwork frame using Hunkydory kit -  Day 191 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used a really pretty topper (with the frames) from Hunkydory. I first of all took a " checked " frame (taking the inner square out to use for something else) and glued the outer " patchwork" frame on top of it and stuck that on to the centre of the white card (This is a 144mm white card which has a "linen" effect). I then added the smaller plain frame and added that to it so it was diamond shaped instead of square. Once that was done, I used some foam pads to attach the topper to the middle of it (trying to make sure it was in the right place). It is really hard to find 4 button s that are exactly the same, so I coloured 4 simliar ones using the BP4 (Bright Pink) Spectrum Noir alcohol marker and left them to dry for a bit. Once that was done, I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to attach eac...

Blue bird  Oriental themed 7" x 5" card  -  Day 35 of my 366 day challenge.. Hi Craft Addicts! This pretty 7" x 5 " card has turned out really well - am learning more about distressing and so used Tim Holtz distress inks to colour the edges of it to "dim" the whiteness of the card. I then used a really lovely topper from Hunkydory and glued it on to a die cut panel of yellow Adorable Scorable or you can use Centura Pearl which was then placed on a larger panel of gold coloured mirror card. Once the distress ink border was dry, I then placed a panel of pretty yellow/gold patterned paper from Craftwork Cards on the lower half of the card and separated it from the top part using black and white hexagon shaped Washi style tape. I then used some foam pads to raise the panel and placed it on the card (leaving some room at the bottom for a sentiment to be added if needed). As this card is suitable for any occasion, I have left the inside...

Time to celebrate floral and bunting card - day 33 of my 366 card challenge! Hi Craft addicts! Day 33 and for this card I have used both Craftwork Cards and Tattered Lace to produce a vibrant and colourful card that definitely shouts out " Time to Celebrate " So, this is a 150mm square cream card, and I have cut a square of the pennant design paper from the " Bohemian Dreams " cardmaking 8"x8" kit from Craftwork Cards and glued it on (but before sticking it down, I added some black ribbon to the centre of it). I then cut out the " Angelique panel" from Tattered Lace in white cardstock and glued it onto a panel of blue card and then added a black scalloped narrow frame to it. Once all was dry, I then used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour the flowers so they "matched" the colours of the pennants in the backing paper.  I then placed it on top using some foam pads as it needed some height and then add...

Happy birthday Mum - presents - Day 17 of my 366 day challenge

Happy birthday Mum - presents - Day 17 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So this time I have turned to a quick and easy birthday card for your mum using a very pretty topper from the "Especially for Her" paper collection from Hunkydory. I have used a C6 white card (which is approx 350gsm)- I prefer this weight of card as I feel that anything less than this feels a bit flimsy. Anyway, I added a strip of red ultra tape along the left hand side of the card and added some Tonic Studios Nuvo pink glitter to it (make sure that the whole area is covered so there is no sticky spots left. I then glued the topper on top of it (I didn't feel it needed a matt as the border "raised" it off the page. I then coloured the "Mum" sentiment with some pink Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and placed it on the card using some foam pads. And there you are - one very quick but easy card!   You can buy this card from my website here  for £2.50 - it is a ...

Ah now that was a good year - Happy birthday gatefold card - Day 16 of 366 day challenge

Ah now that was a good year - Happy birthday gatefold card - Day 16 of 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts Day 16 and I am turning to making a card suitable for a man - I have made two so far using the Hunkydory "Charming Chaps" collection  as these are fun and great for people of all ages! I used one of the " Ahh! That was a good year " topper that you can find in the " Charming Chaps"  Little Book (currently out of stock at Hunkydory but you can find it on a particular auction site) and matted it on to some black cardstock. to give it some strength as I wanted to use it as the "flap" on a C5 gatefold card. Using the border strip " What What " that came with the collection, I cut it to fit the front panel and then split it and glued it to fit both sides. I then stuck 4 7cm panels from the Craftwork Cards "Suits you Sir!"  6" paper pad above and below it on either side. Once that was all dry and in pla...
