Ah now that was a good year - Happy birthday gatefold card - Day 16 of 366 day challenge
Hi Craft Addicts
Day 16 and I am turning to making a card suitable for a man - I have made two so far using the Hunkydory "Charming Chaps" collection as these are fun and great for people of all ages!
I used one of the "Ahh! That was a good year" topper that you can find in the "Charming Chaps" Little Book (currently out of stock at Hunkydory but you can find it on a particular auction site) and matted it on to some black cardstock.to give it some strength as I wanted to use it as the "flap" on a C5 gatefold card.Using the border strip "What What" that came with the collection, I cut it to fit the front panel and then split it and glued it to fit both sides. I then stuck 4 7cm panels from the Craftwork Cards "Suits you Sir!" 6" paper pad above and below it on either side.
Once that was all dry and in place, I then added the topper to the left hand side of the card (making sure that the glue doesn't go over the edge). I then added one of the "Dad" sentiments to the bottom of the card - it could be any male relative if you wanted...
To make the inside a bit more interesting, I cut the bicycle image to fit (from the 100 card inserts pack from Craftwork Cards) and glued it to the centre of the card.
And there you are, a fun but stylish card for that man in your life and you can buy it on my website here
