Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one using some dies, stamps and some inks! I coloured a piece of white card using yellow, orange, red and pink Distress Oxide and Harmony inks (from Tim Holtz and Crafter's Companion) to make a sunrise (esque) background and spritzed it with some water. I then added some self adhesive paper to the back of a piece of Lynda Chapman's Black card and used the Sweet as Honeycomb Die from Crafter's Companion Nature's Garden Bee-youtiful collection to cut it out. Removing the backing sheet carefully, and taking out any waste bits left, I then stuck that to the background and cut around it. I used some foam pads to add it to the front of a top fold white 7" x 5" card trying to make it as central as possible. I then stamped out the Bee NIce sentiment directly on to the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. Finally I added some Glossy Highlights (or Glossy Accents) to the wings of the bees. Hi all you crafty folks out there.... Well, it is another gloomy day here - will be so nice to see some sun soon! But this card I made cheers me up! I took the floral spray wreath (by Stamps by Me) and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. As it is quite a big stamp, I used a stamping platform to do it so if there were any missing bits I could redo it without smudging etc. I decided to use pencils (from Stabilo) to colour it in (not watercolour) and I am really impressed with how they work. I used yellows, oranges and reds for the flowers and a couple of shades of green for the foliage. Once I was happy with the result, I edged the card with a black marker and then stuck it to some green cardstock (this is from Crafter's Companion Textures 12"x12" block). I then used what green ink was left on a dauber to colour the background in - am really pleased with how it turned out as it gives it a vellum/parchment look. The sentiment A New Beginning is ...

Love and Kisses Butterfly on heart card Hi Craft addicts! The weekend has come around so quickly hasn't it? I made this card a few weeks ago and was really pleased with how it turned out so decided to share it on here! How I made this card:- I used a scalloped edged heart nested die (there are quite a few Companies that now produce them) and cut it out in Black card. I then cut out the Butterfly die (I think it is a Tattered Lace one) in White card and stuck it to the front of the heart with some Pinflair Glue it Bookbinding glue. I also used the square panel die from Tattered Lace's Antique Lace 3D Decoupage collection to cut it out in White card. Once I had taken out all the waste bits, I then edged it with some Blue ink (any will do but I think it is from Altenew this time). I also edged all sides of a 6" square card so that it matched.
