Bee Nice, Bee Honest, Bee Happy, Bee You card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's handmade card is one using some dies, stamps and some inks!

  • I coloured a piece of white card using yellow, orange, red and pink Distress Oxide and Harmony inks (from Tim Holtz and Crafter's Companion) to make a sunrise (esque) background and spritzed it with some water.
  • I then added some self adhesive paper to the back of a piece of Lynda Chapman's Black card and used the Sweet as Honeycomb Die from Crafter's Companion Nature's Garden Bee-youtiful collection to cut it out.
  • Removing the backing sheet carefully, and taking out any waste bits left, I then stuck that to the background and cut around it.
  • I used some foam pads to add it to the front of a top fold white 7" x 5" card trying to make it as central as possible.
  • I then stamped out the Bee NIce sentiment directly on to the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • Finally I added some Glossy Highlights (or Glossy Accents) to the wings of the bees.

Hello - duo of Dachshunds - hand coloured DL Kraft card -  Day 251 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's card, I have used a mix of hand colouring using Distress inks and colours along with die cuts. The result I think is really good fun and would make a lovely card for someone just to say Hi! To make the background - I first of all cut out a piece of white stamping card and coloured a "landscape" scene using Generation INX "Green G01" and "Blue B01!", Tim Holtz "Mowed Lawn" distress ink and other blue/green shades, I also added a touch of black Memento ink to make the clouds a bit more noticeable. You are my sunshine... hummingbird and flowers A6 white card - Day 211 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is day 211 of my 365 day challenge and I have made it using Mel Heaton's Signature collection dies and stamps for the focal point along with a Spellbinders background die. How I made this card:- I first of all stamped out the Hummingbird and flower spray onto white stamping card (the flowers on a pre-cut notched label) using Versafine Onyx Black ink and let them dry a bit. I then coloured both in using alcohol markers and Zig Clean Color pens - I tried to make the Hummingbird's wings look a bit translucent using pale colours - blues and yellows and then brown and orange for the body part. The flowers were filled in using Oranges, reds and yellows along with a couple of shades of green for the leaves. Dandelion clocks on hand coloured background 6" black card -  Day 253 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Today's project for day 253 of my challenge is a plain card using one of the sheets from Hunkydory's new Paper pads from Prism, some inks and some Mirror card. How I made this card:- This is a very simple card to make as I have used one of the topper sheets from Volume 2 of the new pads from the Prism range from Hunkydory. I took various inks (both Tim Holtz Distress Oxide and Gina K inks) to colour the background blending each colour in to the next several times. When I was happy with the colouring, I used some kitchen roll to remove any excess ink from the surface. I then attached it to some Green Mirror card, leaving a very narrow border around and then placed it on the front of a 6" black pearlescent card from the new Core range from Create and Craft.
