On Your Birthday... Bubbles DL card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card is one I made for my 365 day challenge using some dies and Distress Oxide inks...
- I first of all used a Kit n Caboodle corner punch and used the "stepped" design on each corner of a white DL card.
- I cut out the Bubbles layer of the card using the Creative Expressions Slimline die using Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock, keeping some of the waste to add it to it later.
- I then used the die itself as a stencil and used a sponge dauber to colour a piece of white card with Distress Oxide/Hybrid inks in green and blue shades.
- Once I was happy with how it turned out, I stuck the black layer to it leaving a small white edge to some of the bubbles. I used PVA glue but I could have added the card to some self adhesive sheet and stuck it down that way.
- I then coloured a small rectangle of white card with the same inks, trimming it with a guillotine so it allowed me to add the "On Your Birthday" sentiment to it using a tape pen. The die is from Tonic Studios and I had cut it out in Lynda Chapman's black card again.
