Floral spray in white on green and black bacground C6 card -  Day 111 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well today's project for day 111 of my challenge is a simple one and yet looks really stylish and all it takes are some dies and card. How I made this card:- I first of all scored an C6 white linen effect card several times at the top and bottom. I then added some red liner tape (wide) in the middle of the card and placed some Green foil on top of it and rubbed over it several times until I could see it had taken and lifted the excess foil off. I repeated that at the top and the bottom of the card, this time using a narrower Red Liner tape. I then cut out two oval shapes using Tattered Lace and Spellbinders dies - the scalloped edged one in green and the other in black and stuck them together. I also cut out the floral spray (not sure what Tattered Lace die it is) in white and after I had stuck the oval layer on the front of the card, added the ...

Flower and bubble background - 3 colours 7" square card -  Day 188 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used toppers and backgrounds mainly cut using my Brother Scan n Cut (and CANVAS online)  (am finding I am using it more and more now for all sorts of projects). I first of all cut out a "bubbles" panel in black cardstock from one of the files that I bought from the Digital Crafting Emporium (ten large fretwork panels for just £2.50 ) - John Bloodworth (AKA the Gentleman Crafter) has lots of SVG/FCM files which you can buy to use with the Brother Scan n Cut. This was originally a square panel but I cut it down so it was just a border and glued it to the left hand side of the card. I then used some of the pre-installed templates to cut out one scalloped edged square * in black cardstock (American Crafts) which measures approximately 12cm and other in white cardstock (again American Crafts) measuring 1...

Oriental bird of paradise revisited - this time in a picture frame -  Day 54 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Another Hunkydory topper this time used in a picture frame which measures 7" x 5" approximately I took the bird of paradise topper sheet from the Hunkydory's " Little Book of the Orient " and cut the main image out and glued it to some black card which I then cut round it so that it left a small border. I then stuck it to a panel of gold coloured Mirri card (it was precut to A6) and then attached it to more black card. I then glued it on the white sheet that came with the frame and placed it back in the picture frame and making sure it was the right way up replaced the backing. Once that was done, I cut out the flower using Tattered Lace floral dies in gold and black which matches the image and stuck it to the right hand corner - and then added a large drop of Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue in the centre and then dropped some ...
