Couple dancing in a picture frame with ribbon  -  Day 256 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made this home decor project for day 256 of my 365 day challenge using a Tim Holtz picture Frame, a Tattered Lace die and some Mirri card. How I made this project:- I first  of all painted the front part of the Tim Holtz picture frame using black Gesso paint and left it it to dry. I then coated it again. I then cut out the couple dancing (timely as Strictly starts properly next week) in black card (Lynda Chapman's) and attached it to some starry holographic Mirri Card from Hunkydory using a PVA glue. I trimmed it so it measured 50x95mm approximately and stuck that on to some slate grey (not sure the real colour's name) Mirri card. Before I glued the frame to the backing piece, I glued the black and white striped paper (again from Hunkydory) on to it and trimmed it to fit.  I then stuck the whole topper on to the back using foam pads so it sta...

Beautiful Butterflies and flowers A4 photo frame -  Day 30 of my 365 day challenge   Hi Craft addicts! Today is something different for day 30 of my 365 day challenge - this time it is an A4+ photo frame which I have decorated using Stamps by Me dies and stamps. How I made this project:- I had had this picture frame for ages and thought I better use it and so thought it would be great for this project. I first of all, cut out the rose die (from Stamps Away) within some black card. I then stuck it to some white super smooth cardstock and coloured the rose in using various red, orange and yellow alcohol markers - I find that the fluorescent yellow one from Spectrum Noir adds a certain highlight to the whole rose. I added some orange alcohol marker to the edge to make it stand out more... I then used 2 or 3 green alcohol markers and coloured in the leaves. I also added a hint of Wink of Stella clear sparkle to parts of the flower and leaves. I had also cut out...

Hand coloured flower in natural wood picture frame -  Day 42 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So, for this post, I have tried my hand at colouring a beautiful flower using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I first of all decided what colours I would like to use on the Color Book image from Chameleon - I had done one previously in darker colours but thought lighter ones would be better so chose the pink and green shades Spectrum Noir have. It was suggested that the lighting came from above so tried to make the centres of the flowers darker and blending lighter colours to the edge of each flower and leaf. I also used the blending pen to lighten it. I then added the picture (which measures 4" x 6" or 10x15cm ) on to some black card and then stuck it on to a sheet of white paper and glued it to the back of the picture frame (once again making sure that it was the right side up before closing it!) I then cut out the TODO "Floral Chinoise"...
