Love is in the Air cute couple with heart balloon red card -  day 36 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So it is nearly 10% way through my challenge - day 36 of my 365 day challenge and as Valentine's Day is nearly upon us, I decided to make this one... How I made this card:- First of all I cut out 3 different circles all with Tattered Lace dies - 2 have scalloped edges (the black and gold ones), each slightly larger than the other. I stuck the black one on top of the gold Mirri circle using a tape runner pen trying to make sure that there was equal border around it. I then stamped the boy and girl on to the bottom part of the white circle using Onyx Black Versafine ink and then coloured them in using alcohol markers - I decided to leave the hair slightly undone to give it a different effect.  Using Versafine ink again, I then stamped the string and balloon and coloured the balloon in this time using Zig Clean Color pens. I then stamped the small soli...

Abstract flower in gold mirror card on DL Kraft card -  Day 292 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! So for day 292 of my 366 day challenge, I decided to see what I could do with one main die-cut (from Tattered Lace) and here is the result... To make the topper:- I cut out the "Victorian Bauble" die from Tattered Lace in Gold Mirror card (either Hunkydory or Kanban) - you can see the original die cut to the left -  I snipped the central pattern out from the bauble (you only need a few cuts to do this as it is already ready!). I then cut off the two ends and then separated the outside edges.... To make the background panel:- I used a precut panel of "Gold" Mirror card which matches the topper and cut out an "Oval" aperture in the centre of it using a "Picot edged" die again from Tattered Lace. I also cut out a larger panel out of "Black" card. To make the card up:- Trimming the aperture panel about 1/4...

Happy birthday to Ewe - black sheep 144mm square card -  Day 217 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card has been made only using very simple images but have come together to make a really fun but striking card... I first of all went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and used the sheep template that comes in the Stamp add-on section (you can buy it through Create and Craft here ). to cut it out in black cardstock (It measures approximately 9cm ).  I played around with various "scenes" but eventually decided to emboss some bright green card using the Tattered Lace "Enchanted Blossom" border strip embossing folder which I then cut out randomly to make it more "hilly". I used some "Mowed Lawn" Tim Holtz Distress ink and some "green - GO1" Generation INX ink to highlight the embossed section and then glued it to the bottom of the card. I then die cut the "Happy birthday" pennant...

Just for you - Oriental flowers and butterflies 5" x 7" Kraft Card -  Day 183 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So I am half way through my 366 day challenge and I have made this "Just for you" card using a really pretty Hunkydory topper.and a 5" x 7" Kraft card. I took the Kraft card and cut about 2" from the right hand side as i wanted you to be able to see the inside part too. I then used some of the " yellow/orange " paper from the Craftwork Cards "Ombre" 8" paper pad and stuck them to the front (and reverse) as well as the inside of the card. (You will need 2 sheets to do this). For the topper, I cut the " Lattice " style frame (Spellbinders I think) in " Pink" Adorable Scorable cardstock and glued the "Flowers and Butterflies "  image to it. I then added it to some " Pale Kraft " and black cardstock so it stood out more.  Using some black foam pa...

You're the best - Butterfly in purple frame 6" square card -  Day 173 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So, for today's challenge ( Day 173 ), I have used a really pretty butterfly image from the " Shadows and Silhouettes " card making kit from Kanban. I first of all used a sheet of the " Purple " "Ombre" paper from the 8" x 8" pad by Craftwork Cards and cut out a panel measuring approximately 11cm with the Tattered Lace " Pin dot square s" die collection and another one in black card which is about 10cm . I then glued the larger panel on to the front of the card which I decided to use as a " Tentfold " style. I edged the topper with some black alcohol marker and then stuck it on to the smaller panel. Before adding it to the card, I edged the larger panel with some " black" flower shaped peel off stickers. I used foam pads to raise the topper a bit and attached it to the righ...

Happy birthday hearts and flowers 6" square card - Day 160 of my 366 day challenge

Happy birthday hearts and flowers 6" square card -  Day 160 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I think today's card is a bright and cheerful yet stylish card that is very easy to make using just a couple of Tattered Lace die sets and some cardstock. I chose a 6" white card (again using Hunkydory as the quality is so good) as the basis of my design.   I cut out the main topper using the "Happy Birthday Tapestry" die from Tattered Lace in white card and backed it on to some black. I then coloured some of the hearts in red ( Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker ) and some of the flowers in fluorescent yellow and orange.  I also used the Tattered Lace "Pin Dot squares" dies and cut one panel in silver and a larger one in black card for the layers and glued the latter leaving a small white border. I then added the Silver Mirri one at an angle making sure that it fitted the card. Once that was dry (I used Collall All Purpos...

Man with trilby hat in silhouette with guitar - Celebrate!  Day 146 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 146 of my challenge and thought another "masculine" card was in order. I made this simple but stylish (well I hope so anyway!!!) I used a 6" embossed card from the "All White" cards from Craftwork Cards as the basis and made it as follows... I first of all took one of the frames that I had left over from the "Shadows and Silhouettes" card making collection from Kanban and glued it to the front of the card leaving the embossed part free. I then detached one of the toppers in the same kit and cut it to fit using the Tattered Lace Pin dot circle dies. Before placing the topper on to the card, I took the "Celebrate" sentiment from Craftwork Cards and coloured it slightly and attached it on the card so that it would show when the topper was in place. I then used some foam pads to raise it up, making sure that it w...
