Birthday lovelinesss..lighthouse in front of sunset... A6 white linen effect card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another I have made using stamps, Distress Crayons and dies... it is quick and easy to make too! How I made this card:- The base card I used is a white linen effect A6 card - I think these came from Craft Creations but any will do of course (I like the effect you get if stamping directly on to it). I first of all took a small piece of white card and stamped the Lighthouse (from Pretty Quick) on to it using Black Gina K Amalgam ink, I then coloured it in using red and cream alcohol inks from the Prism range from Hunkydory. Once I was happy with it, I cut around it as close as possible to the edge and then coloured that with a black alcohol ink, I then used a pre cut Oval panel in white card with the matching silver Mirri layer and coloured it in with stripes of Orange, Yellow and Pink Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (blending them in with my finger as I ...

Just Because... dogs in silhouette on hand painted background  A6 card...  Hi Craft addicts! I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead! I had fun painting the background and then deciding what to use it for - these dog silhouettes were just the right thing! How I made this card:- The base card I used is a white linen effect A6 card - I think these came from Craft Creations but any will do of course. I first of all die-cut the dogs (from the Fun, Frolics and Flight Tattered Lace Collection) out in black card. I chose these two as they look as if they are coming from different directions. The card is Lynda Chapman's black card from Creative Crafting World. I then took a small piece of white card (I used stamping card but watercolour card would do just as well) and created the sea scene using Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors and Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Shimmering watercolour paints. Relax, Calm Unwind Seaside and Fish n Chips sign 7x5in card -  Day 252 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been practising using watercolours - both inks, stamps and "proper" palettes and so am just beginning to learn how complicated it really is! How I made this card:- I created the background by using the Dreamees Chalk inks - both the cubes and the re-inkers - gradually laying down various colours to create the sky, sea and land. I realise now that I need to let it dry before adding a new colour on to it as it just becomes a sludgy colour if I don't! Once it was dry, I realised it would make a great sea scene (I don't start off with a plan as you can see!) and so added some white to the sea to create wave effects and also some rays to the area that I thought looked like the sun. Special Wishes  - Sea landscape hand coloured shaped card -  Day 233 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a hand coloured shaped card using Distress inks and Hunkydory stamps. It has been made for day 233 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I thought that this shaped card would be perfect to use for this Special Wishes design so I cut a piece of white stamping card and coloured the sea scene using Distress Inks for the sea and sky trying to make the definition clear between sea and sky.  I also left a bit of the top half showing the white card so it looked like clouds and I also coloured the sea and parts of the sky in a darker grey colour to look like darker clouds and waves. I then used 2 pieces of waste paper to cover parts of the design and coloured through them to create the horizon and the land parts, moving the paper down so I could create the lower landscape.
