  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest card for my mini challenge within a challenge is this A7 card using dies, stamps and inks...       The card is once again from Hunkydory and I rounded the corners with one of their punches. I then took a piece of purple card/paper and fussy cut it to fit the front of the card and stuck it on the front using a tape pen rather than PVA glue. I used Creative Expressions Pixie powders to create the background by tapping some of their brilliant colours on to some watercolour card and spritzed it with some water and let it dry. Whilst that was happening I die cut the rectangle frame (medium sized one from Tonic Studios) several times in white card and glued them together. I then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I stamped out the balloons and bear on to some white cardstock using the Birthday bear boy collection from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection, again using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a different one for me as I was playing with a different shaped card. You need two DL cards which you use with the fold at the top. I first of all scored one of them down the middle of the front of the card using my Hunkydory's Adorable Scoreboard and folded it back on itself. I took two pieces of the wood effect paper (I know various companies sell this in different pads but you could also score it at equal distances using a scoreboard and then used Distress Oxide inks in different shades of brown to create the same effect). I used some Fired Brick Distress Oxide and edged the paper and then glued it to the back of the card with some PVA glue. It's Your Birthday... Let's Celebrate Dog having fun A6 gatefold card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a gatefold card which I have made using a mix of dies, stamps and stencils.... How I made this card:- I first of all took the kriss-kross part of the Thirsty Brush Stencil (it doesn't have a name but is in the one that has Bistro and Paris included in the pattern). I then coloured through it using the Clear Skies ink pad from Simon Hurley Ranger collection on either side of the gatefold (I used a blending tool to do this). I love this bright blue - it is so much fun! There was a gap on either side of the design  so I decided to use some foil to decorate it. I therefore used red liner tape (medium width) down the edge of the fold and placed black foil over it and burnished it until there were no glue showing. Let's Celebrate... Butterfly on tree bark background A6 card Hi Craft addicts! I really enjoyed making this card as it combines backgrounds I have created myself using Alcohol inks or Tim Holtz Distress Crayons with stamps and dies... How I made this card- I had coloured a piece of card using bright coloured Alcohol inks (or watercolours) and decided that I would use it to make one of the Butterflies in the Butterfly Embellishment Die set from The Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) and so cut out the body/wings in it and then the Antennae and mat layer in black card and stuck them together using PVA Glue. I then added some Versamark sticky ink to it and heat embossed it with Clear embossing powder to give it both a sheen and more stability. I had also coloured a piece of white card with brown shades of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and thought that if I stamped the tree rings/bark image (from the Back to Nature Backgrounds For The Love of Stamps set) over it ...

Let's celebrate! Sunflower on hand coloured background A5 shaped card - Day 226 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 226 of my 365 day challenge is one using Tattered Lace dies and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.... How I made this card:- I coloured the background in using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (the 1st time I have used them) - They are brilliant to blend but still have lots to learn as to what I can do with them!! Whilst it dried (I left it overnight), I cut out the Sunflower Tattered Lace die twice, once in yellow and once in green.  I used orange and a darker yellow alcohol markers to add some shading to the flower part of it and then snipped it to just have the head of the flower. I then used PVA glue to attach it to the green flower making sure it was in the right place - this saved me colouring in both of the die-cuts! Congratulations on your baby - elephants and mobile C5 card -  Day 204 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had to make a couple of New Baby cards and this is one of them using Tonic Studios dies and Ruth Watkins papers. How I made this card:- I have had these dies from Tonic Studios for ages and thought I would use them to make the main focal points of this card. I cut out the mobile and the 2 elephants using the double sided cardstock from Kanban. I then cut out the Bunny strip from a 12" specialised paper from Ruth Watkins (I bought it some time ago from Craft Creations so am not sure if it is still available). The C5 brown card was from Hunkydory's Adorable Scorable range and I stuck the Bunny strip to the top, cut it to fit and then added the remaining piece to the bottom. Party! Tropical leaves and cocktails dl landscape card -  Day 184 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is a bright and cheerful DL card using distress inks, stamps and a mask. How I made this card:- The first thing I did was use the Cocktail Party mask to edge the top and bottom of a DL landscape (with the fold on the left hand side) with the abstract pattern in bright red ink (Festive Berries from Tim Holtz Ranger ink) moving it along to finish the design off. I then let it dry as I didn't want smudges on the front of the card! Once it was, I used Parrot Green ink from Altenew to colour through the palm leaf part of the mask and  once again let it dry. I also used the mask to add the word PARTY! (again from the mask) this time using Catherine Pooler's Something Borrowed (blue) dye based ink. I then stamped the two different cocktails on to some stamping card with Onxy Black Versafine ink and coloured them in using Zig ...

Happy birthday Chinese Lanterns hand coloured stamps C6 card for Day 147 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday (if it is where you are!) - I have made this bright and cheerful Birthday card for day 147 of my 365 day challenge! How I made this card:- I used a C6 white linen effect card and marked two lines at the top and bottom of it in pencil and then used some masking tape to protect the centre of the card and coloured the border using Cosmic Shimmer Clear Day and Indigo Mist Colour blending inks. They do lay really well but must admit they don't blend well with each other as they are too wet (but I might be doing it wrong of course!) I put that aside to dry and cut a strip of white stamping card which was slightly narrower than the centre part of the card and shorter than the length!
