Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one I am really pleased with and I hope you like it too! I took a piece of white stamping card that measured 5" square and stamped the single rose bud in each corner and then added the leaf to the middle of each of the spaces left. I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink as it can be used for both alcohol markers and watercolours. I then stuck it to some red paper/card which comes from the Bright Colours 12" paper pad from Crafter's Companion and trimmed it so there was only a small border around it. I used Hunkydory's Corner punch to round the edges and glued that to the front of a 6" white card, the corners of which I also rounded. I stamped another rose bud and coloured it in using a red Spectrum Noir Triblender for the flower and a green one for the leaves.   Hi Craft addicts! Well, I must admit I am addicted to these wonderful Gnomes from Woodware Stamps and designed by Francoise Read. I first of all stamped out the Gnome stamp from Francoise Read's Gnome collection from Woodware Stamps on to white card and coloured it in using a variety of Spectrum Noir's Triblender markers. Once I was happy with it, I cut around it leaving a border around it. I thought that a red background would work well, so used a Tattered Lace Scalloped Edge Die to cut out a panel that I glued the Gnome on to using PVA glue. I glued it to the front a 7x5in white card again using PVA glue - both Pinflair's Bookbinding and Dawn Bibby's glue work really well. I have used the LOVE Alphabet dies before, but this time I cut the letters out in  Silver Mirri card and glued them on to some of the red card and cut around it.     Hi Craft addicts! Well, this card would, I think, be great for Valentine's Day and isn't too hard to make! I first of all took a 5" white square card and using my Tonic trimmer, cut out the square aperture. (There are of  course pre cut cards available for sale). I used Tim Holtz and Simon Hurley inks to colour the front of the card creating a sky and grass feeling. I then stamped out the cut dog image (back and front) from Crafter's Companion spinner collection and coloured them in using a Brown Triblender from Spectrum Noir. I added a bit of pink for its' tongue. Using a piece of the wood panel effect paper from Stamps by Me Vibrant Tones 8" paper pad. I distressed it a bit with some brown Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink and stuck it to the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment "I Woof You" on to the front of the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and also the bones and ball.  I used a damp brush to bleach these to give it a bit of texture...

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another one suitable for any occasion that we want to send that person some love but could be great for Valentine's Day too. I really love these edger dies from Creative Expressions, and even though this was brought out for Christmas, I do think it is great too for Valentines Day. I therefore cut it out in bright white card, trimming it to fit the front of an A6 cream/ivory card. I attached it with some PVA glue to some Red textured card (from Crafter's Companion) and trimmed that so it fitted the card. Once I was happy with that, I glued it to the card again using PVA glue. I also stamped out the With Love sentiment on to the same white card using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink (the stamp is from Lisa Horton). I trimmed around it giving it a wavy edge and then glued that to a strip of the same red card, also giving that the same wavy edge. I then added it to the bottom of the card with some foam pads.   Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Using Hunkydory's Prism Corner round puncher for both the main card and the topper, I rounded the edges. I again used Fingerlift tape to ...

Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that could easily be used for Valentine's Day or really just to cheer someone up! I first of all took a 5in white card and scored it down the middle of the front piece and folded it back on itself and scored it again to give it a good crease. I then cut out 3 panels of grey textured card (from Crafter's Companion 12" paper pad) allowing a very narrow border. I stuck them to the card using PVA glue (this time Dawn Bibby's glue). I then cut out the Couple under an umbrella in black card (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) having first attached it to some Wild Spider Self Adhesive sheet. I removed the backing sheet and placed the die-cut on the front panel, trimming the umbrella as it was slightly too big. I then used an anti-static bag and dusted the inside panel, then stamped the sentiment (from Honey Doo Mandala collection), added some True white embossing powder and heat set it. Love and clouds Valentine's Day card Hi Craft addicts! Well what a glorious day it is today and so I thought I would share this card with you! How I made this card:- I first of all created the background using Gansai Tambi watercolour paints - I really like these as they create an opaque effect. I then used the Lawn Fawn Cloud (Landscape die)  and placed it over the card and cut it out (it is an A2 die and can be obtained from Bumbleberry Crafts here in the UK). I edged it with a Black alcohol marker (any with a chisel tip will do). I took a piece of Vellum/Parchment which was slightly longer than the panel and cut it into a strip with a wavy edge. I used Gina K Black Amalgam ink and stamped the Love sentiment and heart on to it (placing the panel behind it so I made sure it was in the right place) and used my heat gun to dry it off a bit. I then placed it over the background and attached it using some tape on the reverse. Using Pinflair Glue it Bookbind...

Art has no rules... lovebirds (or doves) with alcohol inks A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a bit of a happy accident as I had been working with a variety of alcohol inks and it looked a bit messy but had an idea and this was the result.... How I made this card:- I took a sheet of Tim Holtz's Alcohol Ink Foil tape sheet (which is self adhesive) and added a selection of inks - from both the Ranger and Jaquard ranges.  I wasn't really happy with it as some parts of it it looked a mess but thought that there were parts of it that could be salvaged and so trimmed it down and then used the Doves & Hearts die from Sweet Dixie to cut it out. I then removed the backing sheet and placed it in the middle of an A6 white linen effect card, burnishing it to make it stick down properly. I should have fixed the inks first as I noticed that some of them transferred on to the card but I decided to make them part of the design! I wasn't sure what senti...

Love the Bones of you.... square card -  Day 294 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge (nearly day 300) is a very quick and simple fun card using dies from Paper Boutique. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat layer from the Love the Bones of You die set using black card. I then cut out the skull layer using white card and stuck it on top of the mat. Using the circle die within the set, I then cut out another mat in black card. I also cut out the sentiment and accompanying mat layer in orange and black and stuck them together using PVA glue. I attached the main mat and layer on to a 6" white pearlescent card using PVA glue. I then attached the black circle in the middle, this time using some thin foam pads. Finally, I added the sentiment on top of that, this time using PVA glue. A nd there you are  - a homemade/handmade card that was made using only a few products but is fun but stylish to send for Hall...
