I woof you... cute dog aperture card - 365 day challenge

   Hi Craft addicts!

Well, this card would, I think, be great for Valentine's Day and isn't too hard to make!

  • I first of all took a 5" white square card and using my Tonic trimmer, cut out the square aperture. (There are of  course pre cut cards available for sale).
  • I used Tim Holtz and Simon Hurley inks to colour the front of the card creating a sky and grass feeling.
  • I then stamped out the cut dog image (back and front) from Crafter's Companion spinner collection and coloured them in using a Brown Triblender from Spectrum Noir. I added a bit of pink for its' tongue.
  • Using a piece of the wood panel effect paper from Stamps by Me Vibrant Tones 8" paper pad. I distressed it a bit with some brown Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink and stuck it to the inside of the card.
  • I stamped the sentiment "I Woof You" on to the front of the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and also the bones and ball.
  • I used a damp brush to bleach these to give it a bit of texture.
  • I also stamped the kennel from the same set in the centre of the card and coloured it in using darker brown shades of alcohol marker.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
