Happy Birthday Bee card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Well today's card is a bright and cheerful one with a bee theme and I hope you will read more as to how it was made!

  • I first of all decided which of the various beautiful designs I wanted to use from the latest Bumblebee Dance paper collection from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique range.
  • After a while, I chose the Bee circle topper and the bee background paper to use as i think they are so colourful.
  • Using the topper as a template, I chose a Tattered Lace Scalloped edge die and cut out a circle slightly larger than the topper and attached it using PVA glue.
  • I then used the Rectangle part of the Standalone Dies from Time for Tea and cut it out twice, once in Lynda Chapman's Black card and another one using the Bee paper from the Paper Boutique collection.
  • I took a 6in white card and cut off about 1.5" from the front of it and then used my Hunkydory Scoreboard to score the back part of the card several times.
  • I used PVA glue again to glue the black frame on to the card and then glued the bee panel inside it.
  • I added the Bee panel on to the middle of the card using foam pads.
  • I chose one of the sentiment strips in the paper pad and cut it out with a wavy edge and then stuck it to some black card and cut that to follow the border.
  • I finally added it to the back of the card using foam pads.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
