Thank you...mouse in white A6 white card

Thank you...mouse in white A6 white card Hi Craft addicts! I really love this Tartan colour combination and thought it went well with this mouse topper from Tattered Lace - if you want to see how I made it carry on reading! 😉😀 How I made this card:- I cut a piece of the Purple Tartan out to fit the front of an A6 white card (approximately 5" x 3.5") and used a Hunkydory's punch to round the corners. I then glued it to the front of the card using Pinflair's Glue-it Glue. I also cut out an oval (with an embossed edge) out in Silver Mirri card (I think it is a Tattered Lace die). I used the same glue to attach the Mouse topper (again a Tattered Lace die cut out in White card) towards the top of the oval. I then stuck both to the middle of the Tartan background. Finally, I had the Thank You sentiment left in the A Year of Sentiments pad (from Craftwork Cards) and glue that to the bottom of the panel. And there you are a quick and easy card t...

Thanks. You're a Star square card with embossed woodgrain background Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card for The 100 Day project is a quick and simple card using an embossing folder and stamps... How I made this card:- I first of all cut two pieces of card (one black and the other Gold Mirri) to fit the 7" x 5" Skinny Woodgrain embossing folder and embossed both of them (I used my Gemini cutting machine). I then cut the black piece so that there was about an inch on either side and stuck it to the front of a cream/ivory 6" square card (from Create & Craft) using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I placed the gold embossed over the same part of the design and cut it so there was an equal space on either side and then glued it down again using a PVA glue. I stamped the Thanks and You're a Star sentiments (from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me range) on to some black card using Versamark, added some True White Cosmic Shimmer Detail Embossing Powder ...

Cute Kitty with teddy bear friends 6in square card -  Day 330 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well I thought I would leave Christmas for one day and have made this cute hand stamped and coloured card... I hope you like it... How I made this card:- I first of all used a Tattered Lace Scalloped Edged circle die and cut out the mat in white linen effect card. I stamped the cat image (Best Friends stamp from Sweet Dixie) directly on to the circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the cat in using the markers in Prism's Cool Greys set (the three darkest ones) until I was happy (ish) with its' colouring and then used brown shades to colour in the teddy bears. I also stamped the XXXX image just underneath using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink again. I used Blue and Green Prism inks to colour in the background with separate sponge daubers. I then cut out the larger background layer using the Reach For the Stars die (from Paper Boutique's Celestia...

Season's Greetings to the Cat's Whiskers A6 Christmas card -  Day 326 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this card which my project for day 326 of my challenge. I used stamps, alcohol markers to colour the cat in... How I made this card:- I first of all stamped out the cat image (Christmas Cats Whiskers from Personal Impressions) onto pre-cut oval stamping card (from Hunkydory) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, trying to get it into the centre of the panel. I used TN4 and CB10 Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for the cat itself and then red, pink and blue markers for its' hat, scarf and the present's ribbon. Once I was happy with the colouring (or as happy as I will ever be), I then used blue and green distress inks to colour the background (like previous cards, I am still using what was left on a couple of sponge daubers)...and added it to a larger mat of Gold Mirri card (the next size up from Hunkydory's set) I then cut a...

Happy birthday - dancing Salsa couple in silhouette 7x5in card -  Day 272 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a very simple but stylish handmade card using just some Tattered Lace dies, some Mirri card and a birthday sentiment. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the dancing Salsa couple (a Tattered Lace die)  and then the Trellis Arch (again a Tattered Lace die) both in black card. I then stuck the couple on to some Matt Gold Mirri card (either Hunkydory or Kanban) using a PVA glue. I used Midas Touch sticky dots to attach the Trellis arch on to some Gold Mirri card and trimmed it so there was only a narrow border around it. I again used some PVA glue to stick it to the front of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card, placing it towards the top of the card as I wanted to have the sentiment at the bottom (well I did try various places but ended up thinking it looked better there). Using foam pads, I added the dancing couple to...

Happy Birthday Zendoodle Frog 7" x 5" card -  Day 248 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I coloured in this Zendoodle frog a couple of weeks ago but hadn't done anything with it - but here is a card that I used it for.. How I made this card:- I first of all stamped the Zendoodle Frog out on to some white stamping card using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then added some clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then Zentangled the whole image creating my own design which is great fun and mirrored one design on the opposite side. I then coloured it in using Zig Clean Color pens trying to keep the same colours on either side of the frog. Once I was happy with it (well as happy as I would be), I cut it out trying to make sure that no white was showing. Before adding it to the card, I mat and layered 3 pieces of card - one red as that was one of the main colours in the frog, then black and finally a smaller panel of Silver Mirri card. I then ...

Hello! Oriental lady and Crane in silhouette 7x5in card -  Day 227 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I used Holographic Mirri card from Hunkydory, alcohol markers and some Tattered Lace dies to create this 7" x 5" white card for day 227 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I first of all took a pre-cut panel of Silver holographic Mirri card (from Hunkydory) and used some blue and green alcohol markers to cover parts of the card, leaving some of it plain.  I then left it to dry for several hours as I didn't want to smudge it. Once it was dry, I then added it to a slightly larger panel of black card. I cut out the Oriental (Geisha) lady and the Crane in reeds Tattered Lace dies out in black card.  I stamped the small butterfly and fan (from the Oriental series from Rare Earth) along the sides of a 7" x 5" white card using 2 colours (red and purple Distress inks) on the stamp at the same time.  I then stuck the panel on to th...

Have a fun filled day - sunflowers resist technique black C6 card - Day 24 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is as a result of my trying out distress ink over embossed flowers which I think turned out quite well despite it being a bit of a mistake! How I made this card:- I wanted to use this C5 black card and so first of all added a white insert to the centre of the card. I then cut out the 3 different sized slim deckle edged rectangles using Tattered Lace Tall Slim rectangle dies - the largest in Rainbow Mirri (from Hunkydory), the middle one in black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper from Creative Crafting World and finally the smallest one in white stamping card. I decided I would like to try the resist technique which I have seen various videos on, and so stamped the first Sunflower (from the Sunshine and Smile collection from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps range) on the right hand side of the cardstock and embossed it in...

Owl on green mirri background- blank narrow DL card -  Day 16 of my 365 Day Challenge Hi Craft addicts! I posted this card on Instagram a few weeks ago but hadn't done a blog about it so am now doing so! How I made this card:- I cut out the owl in white cardstock using the Forest Pines Owl from Tattered Lace I then coloured it in using various brown alcohol markers trying to add some shading to it too and let it dry. I also cut out the main torn edged rectangle layer in green mirri card (again using a Tattered Lace die). Tonic Studios produced the die for the black mat which I thought would look good with the owl I then glued them both to the front of a narrow DL card and then placed the owl on top of them using foam pads to add some dimension. And there you are - a really quick and simple to make but would make a great card to give to someone. Products and items you may need to make this gift Narrow White DL card and envelope Owl from the Forest P...
