Cute Critters, Parcel and Christmas pudding mini cards -  Day 350 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's makes for day 350 of my 365 day challenge are 3 mini (3in) cards that could be used as gift tags too... How I made these cards:- Card One (Pudding) - I cut out the Christmas Pudding die (Tonic Studios) from Kraft card and backed it on to some white so that I could colour in the Holly leaves using green alcohol markers.  I left the icing as it was. I then glued it to a 3" white card using PVA glue and stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment just underneath it using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Finally, I used some Strawberry Coulis Nuvo drops (again from Tonic Studios) to add the berries. Card Two (Cute Critters) - For this one, I created a sky background with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean and Broken China) on to some white stamping card and cut a circle out using a Tattered Lace die. Boo! set of 5 Halloween themed mini cards -  Day 281 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a set of 5 Hallowe'en themed mini cards that I have hand painted and then used various die-cuts for the main focal points. They would make great invitations or cards to send to school friends! How I made these cards:- I first of all cut out all of the die cuts - 4 in Lynda Chapman's black card and one in white card - The spider is from the Hallowe'en collection from Paper Boutique (from Creative Crafting World) and the others are from Sweet Dixie. I then used various colours of Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide Inks and coloured the front of 5 mini (3in) cards making sure that the back and inside didn't get coloured too!  I wanted the cards to be bright so that the silhouettes would work well and when I had done the blue one (top right hand corner) realised that a white topper would work better. 5 quick and easy small cards to make on a Bank Holiday weekend -  Day 240 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought for today's challenge (day 240 of my 366 day challenge) and it being the Bank holiday, I would make these 5 quick and easy 3" cards using up bits n pieces left over from other projects.... To make the cards I have used three different toppers from Hunkydory and two images from the  Ruth Watkins designs from Craft Creations, So, i will quickly go through each card (from top (the cup of tea) moving round each card to the bird and plant) Card 1 - Cup of Tea - I took the small "cup of tea" topper from one of the Hunkydory collections and added it to a "Scalloped edged" square which I  punched out using a Woodware punch in green card. Set of 5 mini cards or gift tags - abstract designs - Day 34 of 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 34 of my 366 day challenge and thought that these set of cards would make a good thing to write about... This was the first time that I had used textured paste and stencils and thought they came out really well. So, first of all I placed the stencil ( Mini Moroccan tiles from TCW Stencils ) and taped it down. I then used a spatula to fill in the stencil using the paste (there are so many types available from I magination Crafts to Phill Martin ). I then gently removed the tape and lifted the stencil off and left the design to dry. I repeated this using different patterns and colours 4 times and left them to dry as well. Once they were all dry, I cut them out and either glued them to some contrasting card or just edged them with some Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Peel off stickers - have they had their day? .... Do Peel off stickers (wherever they come from) have their day? So many people seem to think they do, but I for one,  do use them occasionally (both Craft Creations and Handy Hippo  stock a wide variety). Peel off stickers - assortted types The borders and frames are ideal if you haven't quite cut something out quite right and have got a wonky edge and want to cover it up! Both come in plain and fancy designs as you can see from the above pic - they also come in a variety of colours which is useful if you want to co-ordinate a frame to a topper....
