Happy birthday to Ewe - black sheep 144mm square card -  Day 217 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card has been made only using very simple images but have come together to make a really fun but striking card... I first of all went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and used the sheep template that comes in the Stamp add-on section (you can buy it through Create and Craft here ). to cut it out in black cardstock (It measures approximately 9cm ).  I played around with various "scenes" but eventually decided to emboss some bright green card using the Tattered Lace "Enchanted Blossom" border strip embossing folder which I then cut out randomly to make it more "hilly". I used some "Mowed Lawn" Tim Holtz Distress ink and some "green - GO1" Generation INX ink to highlight the embossed section and then glued it to the bottom of the card. I then die cut the "Happy birthday" pennant...

Birds on branch on a patchwork frame using Hunkydory kit - Day 191 of my 366 day challenge

Birds on branch on a patchwork frame using Hunkydory kit -  Day 191 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used a really pretty topper (with the frames) from Hunkydory. I first of all took a " checked " frame (taking the inner square out to use for something else) and glued the outer " patchwork" frame on top of it and stuck that on to the centre of the white card (This is a 144mm white card which has a "linen" effect). I then added the smaller plain frame and added that to it so it was diamond shaped instead of square. Once that was done, I used some foam pads to attach the topper to the middle of it (trying to make sure it was in the right place). It is really hard to find 4 button s that are exactly the same, so I coloured 4 simliar ones using the BP4 (Bright Pink) Spectrum Noir alcohol marker and left them to dry for a bit. Once that was done, I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to attach eac...

Best Wishes - floral 6in square white card -  Day 143 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made this card using a Floral Hunkydory topper, some hand coloured cardstock for the background and some flowers. I first of all chose one of the toppers from the "Florals" bigger book of Toppers from Hunkydory and detached the frames from it. I chose one of the "All White" cards that Craftwork Cards sell, and used orange , green and red Generation Inx water based inks to colour the embossed section of it. I then coloured some white card to match and cut out the middle circle using the Tattered Lace "Pin Dot Circles" Die. I then embossed it using the DoCrafts Small spot embossing folder. I then placed the coloured circle and measured where I wanted the frame to go and cut the latter to fit around it and glued it to the front of the card. I used a black alcohol marker to edge the main background and t...

Sheep over the hill - Blank (For Ewe) 144mm white square card - Day 142 of my 366 day challenge

Sheep over the hill - Blank (For Ewe) 144mm white square card -  Day 142 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made this bright card using both a Tonic Studios die and some shapes that I have cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut. I had previously cut out a Tonic Studios semi circle - (unfortunately I can't find out which one it is) and had glued it to some black cardstock. As I was looking at it, I suddenly thought that it would make a great hill, especially if I coloured some of it using a green alcohol marker to make t look like some leaves and branches. I then added some "Apple Green" Nuvo crystal drops to the white leaves to brighten it up a bit and left it to dry overnight though they don't take that long to dry! I then placed it on to the 144m white card using some foam pads which raised it away from the card. I had cut out some of the sheep when I was using my Brother Scan n Cut and though...

DAD - Happy Father's Day square card

DAD - Happy Father's Day or Birthday square card Hi Craft addicts ! Today's card is again using the " Suits You Sir! " paper pad from Craftwork Cards , this time I have used a 144mm 260gsm square card which I turned on its' side to form a tent fold style. It is good quality linen cardstock which I got in a pack from Craft Creations  and has a good textured finish. I first of all cut 3 strips from the patterned paper approximately 2cm to 2.5cm wide and glued them to the left hand side of the card using the edge of the last one to make sure that they were "butted" up properly to each other. I then made a topper using the same papers but this time I used a Woodware punch to cut 4 squares out - similar to the ones that I used in my previous card. I this time placed them in a different design on a 100mm square cream deckle edged pre-cut square, linen decorative panels. I also got these from Craft Creations as they offer a gre...
