Two for Tuesday - two cards silhouette flower and fox -  Day 317 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have made two cards today for Day 317 of my 365 day challenge - both with hand painted backgrounds and dies.... How I made this card:- Both of these cards are simple to make as I had hand painted the tags beforehand.... Card 1 (blank no message). I first of all decided that the tag that I had painted in various blue shades (using Kuretake's Gansai Tambai watercolours) would highlight the flowers well so used that one. I first of all cut out the flowers in white card, using a Tattered Lace die and stuck it on to the front of the label tag at a slight angle - I used Midas Touch Sticky dots to do this. I then attached the tag on to the front of an A6 white card at a slight angle using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. Card 2 (Thank You - fox in silhouette) . For this card I used a sunrise/sunset theme colour scheme which I hand painted using Kuretake's Gansai Ta...

Cat on Laundry hand coloured square card -  Day 312 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today is a fun hand coloured cat themed card for day 312 of my 365 day challenge using Chameleon pens. How I made this card:- I first of all used one of the cute pre printed images from one of the Prism colouring books (they are approximately 5" square. I coloured the cat and laundry in using a variety of Chameleon pens (this is the first time I have used them and have still SO much to learn as to their use). Once I was happy with the colouring, I then used some ink daubers with the ink that was left on them to colour the floor and wall (blue and yellow). I attached this to some coppery/gold paper and trimmed it so there was a narrow border around it. I then edged the whole thing with a black alcohol marker. Finally, I stuck the entire topper on the front of a 6" white card with some PVA glue. I also added some Ebony Black Nuvo drops And there you are  a card...

Flowers in Art Deco frame - yellow,black and green 7x5in card -  Day 290 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Well today's card is not Halloween themed and is just a plain card made using a couple of dies and some yellow and black card! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Art Deco frame (two dies in the set from Tattered Lace) - I used Lynda Chapman's black card as it just cuts so well to cut out the main design and yellow linen card from Create & Craft's Core collection as I wanted the background to have some texture. I then stuck the frame on to the yellow card using PVA glue. I placed the whole topper on to some more black card and trimmed around it so there was a narrow border. I used PVA glue to attach the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" white pearlescent card. I cut out the flower and leaves (I think from Tonic Studios) in green card as I thought it would stand it out more and again used PVA glue to stick it ...

Mermaids and underwater themed C6 gatefold card -  Day 198 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge (day 198 - goodness 200 is nearly here)...and I have made this Mermaids underwater themed C6 gatefold card. How I made this card:- This is a gatefold card, so I cut 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller than each of the front panels, making sure they fitted. I had bought some Creativ Bleeding Tissue which I had seen on Create and Craft and wanted to try it out, so I tore various strips (different shades of blue), wet the panels (one at a time) and placed the strips on top of them, brushed over them and then removed them to see what effect you can get from them - I also used a brush to blend the colours slightly. (I am going to do a rainbow version soon and will see what I can make of it! I then glued the panels on to the front of the card using PVA glue and left them to dry a bit. Unicorn with fantasy castle on abstract background shaped card - Day 112 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card for day 112 of my challenge is one using up a topper made from a hand coloured background and a Unicorn peel off sticker. How I made this card:- I took a piece of card (80x180mm approx) and coloured a background using pearlescent paints - I think they are Imagination Crafts but could have been from Stamps Away... I used a brilliant blue colour for the sky, yellow and orange for the sunrise and a stunning green for the grass - I kept looking at the Peel off to make sure that it would be in the right place... Once I was happy with it, I put it to one side to let it dry and cut out the geometric circle in white card using a Spellbinders' Geo die and then a slightly larger solid circle in black using a Tattered Lace die. I stuck the white circle on top of the black one and attached it to the middle of a flower shaped 5" white ...

Fairy on toadstools with a ladybird 7x5in Z-fold card -  day 97 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project (for day 96 of my 365 day challenge) is one that I have still to perfect - a Z-fold card! i have used Tattered Lace dies, colour wash paints from Tattered Angels and Rare Earth blending inks.. How I made this card:- I used two 7x5in white straight edged cards and folded the front cover on each back on themselves and then a strip measuring  about 2" from one of them from the bottom. I then folded that one in the opposite way to the first one so that the longer edge was at the front and the two shorter edges were at the back. I then coloured it with various shades of green Tattered Angels Color Wash paints and left it to dry. I also used it to colour 2 panels inside the card. Thinking about it now, I would probably used blending inks to do this as the paint warped the card slightly. Whilst it was drying, I used Rare Earth's Lavender ...
