Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a cute A6 card using Unicorns as the theme... The background papers are dual toned papers from Hunkydory so cut a panel of the lavender to fit the front of an A6 white card and then a smaller one in the lavender and white striped paper and stuck them to each other and then made a smaller panel of the same papers and attached it to the left hand side of the panel. I then glued the whole thing to the card with some PVA glue. Using the two unicorn stamps, butterfly and rainbow from the Twirling Unicorns stamp and die set from the Gemini range from Crafter's Companion and stamped them out on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then added the sentiment to the bottom of the image. I coloured them in using Triblend alcohol markers again from Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir range and then added some Blue China Distress Oxide Inks to give it some background. Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is something different for me - I am trying to do various card shapes and this was one of the results! I first of all took a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card (they used to be sold by Create & Craft but am not sure they do them now) and rounded the corners using a Hunkydory punch. I then scored the top and bottom of the card using my Hunkydory scoreboard several times. I cut out the Smile frame from Stamps by Me using Lynda Chapman's Black card having first added some Wild Spider Self adhesive sheet to the reverse and placed it on a sheet of bright yellow Adorable Scorable card again from Hunkydory. I then cut out the Unicorn Geometric outline die from Thirsty Brush in the same card (again with sticky roll on the reverse) and placed it in the centre of the card which I used as a tent fold card instead so it is now similar to an easel card but isn't if you know what I mean? A Gift for you... unicorn and fairy in silhouette  7x5in black pearlescent card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness it is Friday already and the weekend is almost here... I have made this card using some toppers from the brilliant Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory... How I made this card:- I was really lucky to be given a set of the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit and so have made this one using the Unicorn and Princess silhouette oval. I first of all used a piece of white linen effect card and stamped the Rare Earth Sweet Traditions (stripes) pattern on to it twice - first of all using Pink Tulip from Crafter's Companions' Harmony ink set and then moved it slightly and stamped it again with Plum Jam from the same set.  As it is linen card, the lines aren't as defined as they would be with a smooth card but that was ok. U is for Unicorn Z fold Birthday A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a slightly more creative one I think in that it meant working out how to do the Z fold part of it! How I made this card:- I am still using up these A6 white Deckle Edge cards and so first of all scored the front of one of them using a scoreboard and folded it back on itself. I then repeated the process with the other card and then trimmed about an inch from the bottom of it. I then folded the front panel so that part of the inside wasn't showing and coloured the top 2/3rds of both the inner and outer card using Orange and Yellow Prism inks blending them in until I was happy with the shading. Using the strip that I had previously cut from the spare card, I then turned it over so that the longer edge was on the left hand side and the shorter one on the right. Inspiring.... unicorn black and white monochromatic  A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is the first in a new series I am producing - each day will have a particular theme and today's is Monochromatic  Monday! I had cut this Unicorn topper out ages ago and thought I ought to use it and thought it would be great as part of the monochromatic theme. How I made the card itself:- I first of all cut out a black rectangle background using a Tattered Lace Deckle edge die. I then stuck the Unicorn die-cut on to the middle of it using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (you could also use Pinflair's Glue It as it has a very fine nozzle). Before I added the topper, I used the Inspiring Sentiment from Thirsty Brush and stamped (using Black Gina K Amalgam Ink) the Inspiring word at the bottom of the card (I had checked beforehand that both topper and sentiment would fit). Just Because Black A5 top fold card  with Glittery Unicorn .... Hi Craft addicts! I was so pleased with how this card turned out - I love the Glitter/Satin pastes and stencils from Glitz Crafts. So find out how I made it here.... How I made this card:- I used some low tack stencil tape to attach the Unicorn mask (see below to see where the products come from) to the front of an A5 Black top fold card. I then used one of the spatulas that come in the pack to spread the paste over the Unicorn. As you can see,I used three different colours to give a more interesting effect - two are Glitter Frosted and one has a Satin effect. I removed three sides of the masking tape to check that the Unicorn was ok and as it was, I took the last piece of tape off and put the card aside to dry (it takes about 10-15 minutes). For a Little Princess - Have a magical day Birthday square card - Day 224 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 224 of my 365 day challenge is a Birthday card that could be used for a little girl or just someone who likes Unicorns and fairies! How I made this card:- I took one page  from the Twilight Forest fairy collection by Hunkydory and separated the topper from the frame. I then hand coloured a piece of white stamping card that fitted the inside of the card trying to make it look like a sunrise. I used Creativ's Bleeding  Tissue to create it. I stuck the background in the card, trimming it to fit. I cut the two border strips into 4 and stuck them on to the frames using a tape pen making sure that when I added the circle topper the joins were hidden. I then added the two mini sentiments on either side of the main topper.  To make sure the "waste" part of the topper fitted,I had previously placed the circle topper...

Happy Birthday - Unicorn in silhouette on painted background 7x5in card - Day 212 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Another hot day and the sun is shining and I have been playing with my Kuretake water colour paints to create the background that the Unicorn is on. Here is how I made it.... I used one of the pre cut oval shape white mat and layer (gold) from Hunkydory for the topper and painted the background directly on to it. I used various blue shades in the Kuretake water colour box (the green one) and blended them until I was happy with the shading and left it to dry. Whilst it was drying, I cut out the Unicorn's head (from Tattered Lace) in Lynda Chapman's black card. I then stuck it on to the background using a wet glue as it gave me a bit of wiggle time. I used the white paint from the Kuretake set to add the stars (and the eye) - I would have used a Gel pen but found it had dried out! Let your dreams take flight unicorn in silhouette C6 gatefold card - Day 172 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Unicorns and a hand coloured background feature in this C6 gatefold card for day 172 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I covered the two front panels of a gatefold card in the yellow and white gingham card/paper (not sure where it came from), trimming it to fit both sides. I then added some green and white spotty paper (from Craft Creations) to it, leaving about 1cm space either side. Using Tattered Angels Color Wash paints, I coloured the background to make it look like a sunset using blues and greens and left it to dry. Once it had dried, I added the Unicorn peel off sticker, trying to make sure there weren't any bubbles in it. I then stuck it on to some white card and cut it so that there was a narrow border all around it and stuck it to the left hand panel using Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue (making sure I could still open the card).
