Love - heart on hand coloured background with trellis background Valentines Day card Hi Craft addicts! Well Valentine's Day is only a couple of weeks away and so I have made this quick and easy card that is slightly different as there is NO red on it! How I made this card:- I first of all went into Brother's Canvas Workspace and used the heart in a ring design (it isn't one of their standard designs) and cut it out in white card. I also painted the background using a variety of Green Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and let it dry. I then cut it out using a square die (from Tattered Lace) and stuck the heart on to it using Pinflair Bookbinding glue. I then used the A5 Trellis die from Honeydoo Crafts and cut it out in Black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and glued it to the front of an 7x5in white card. I attached the heart panel to the centre of the card and then stamped the Heart sentiment in the middle of the heart using the word ...

Have a Tweet Christmas Robins and snowflakes on tartan card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Here is a fun card I made using stamps... How I made this project:- This is a C6 white linen effect card which I bought ages ago from Craft Creations but you can of course use any type of base card! I cut a panel of this red tartan paper (from Hunkydory's 8" paper pad collection) to fit the front of the card leaving a border all around it and attached it using PVA glue. I then used a stamping platform (again there are so many brands around - from Stamps by Me Eureka 101 to Rare Earth's Load n Fold.  I arranged the two Robins stamps opposite each other (from a Woodward collection), the two Holly leaves and then the Have a tweet Christmas sentiment and stamped them all on to some white stamping card (This is Hunkydory's Ink Me) using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink. Mosaic black cat Birthday Wishes 7x5in black card.. Hi Craft addicts! Well, it is apparently National Hug a Cat day today so thought this black mosaic cat would be appropriate to write about! How I made this card:- I coloured a piece of 5" Yupo paper (from Ranger) using a variety of alcohol inks - for this particular one I used Jaquard Pinata colour inks as they are lovely and bright (especially on Yupo paper). When I was happy with the design, I let it completely dry and cut out the solid mat layer in black card from the Watercolour Cat die set from Tattered Lace. I then cut the main layer out of the background using the other die in the set along with the mat die as I wanted to cut it out totally. These dies are from their Unity collection so the mat layer cuts very close to the main topper. I glued them both together using PVA Glue, but you could add a self adhesive layer so you don't have to do this... I had cut out the frame out in Silver Mirri some time ...

Welcome to the world New Baby square card -  Day 219 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a New Baby card which is made using a Tattered Lace die, some Zig Clear Color pens and a Kanban sentiment. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Rock a Bye baby die (from Tattered Lace) out of white card and then coloured it in using both water colour paints (what was left on my palette watered down) and also Zig Clean Color Pens which I brushed on to my glass mat and used a water brush to add detail to the die cut. Once I was happy with the colouring, I let it dry and then stuck it to a circle of black card(Tattered Lace Torn Edges) using Midas Touch Sticky dots. I then attached it a panel of light green and white checked card (either Kanban or Hunkydory) which I then edged in green and black alcohol marker so it makes it look like it is another layer. You don't have to be beautiful to be perfect DL card -  Day 216 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a mix of Tattered Lace dies, Stamps by Me stamps and Altenew inks.... How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the mat and layer from a Kraft coloured card and white for the smaller one. Whilst the latter was still in the die, I coloured the inside of it using a few green ink pads from Altenew (Parrot, Olive and Bamboo) so that when I took it out of the die there was still a white border around it. I then used the grasses stamp from Stamps by Me and stamped it to the left of the die-cut using Versafine Onyx Black ink - I deliberately let it go over the white border by the way! I cut a strip of Vellum/parchment and stuck it to the middle of the larger layer attaching it at the back with tape. I then used one of the green Altenew inks (I think it was Parrot) to stamp the sentiment, You don't have to be perfect... all over the front...

You don't have to be perfect... girl with flowers 7x5in card -  Day 193 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (day 193 of my 365 day challenge) is a hand coloured and hand painted cute card that I have made using Tattered Lace dies and water colours. How I made this card:- I used a panel of watercolour card and painted it using orange, yellow, green, blue and purple Tattered Angels Color Wash paints in a rainbow pattern and left it to dry. Once it was, I trimmed  it so that it measured 100x145mm and glued it to the front of a 7x5in white card. I then cut out the cute little girl, the rabbit, flowers and leaves from various Tattered Lace dies and coloured them all in using a variety of alcohol markers - blues, pinks, yellows, oranges and green for the flowers and leaves - some of them were attached so snipped them into smaller parts so that I would be able to fill the basket. Love and hugs hand coloured poppy 7x5in card   -  Day 190 of my 365 day challenge HI Craft addicts! I have made a flower themed card for day 190 of my 365 day challenge which I have coloured in using alcohol markers. How I made this card:- I first of all took one of the Color Cards that come with the Chameleon pens and coloured it in using purple and pinks alcohol markers for the flowers and greens for the leaves and stalks. I must admit that I didn't use the Chameleon pens for this as I am still learning how to use them. I then used a grey alcohol marker to add a slight border around them all and a darker beige to ground the flower at the bottom. Using a blue alcohol marker I edged the panel and set it aside whilst I worked on the card itself. I first of all used my mini score board and scored 3 lines at the top and bottom of a 7" x 5" white card (from the inside) and coloured them using various Altenew inks which lightened once they had dried....

Maybe one day quotation hand coloured box frame -  Day 186 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 186 of my 365 day challenge is one I am  really pleased with - I am trying to do more home decor items and this is one that I might just hang on my wall! How I made this project:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (just a bit smaller than A6) and dusted it with an anti-static bag and then stamped the quote (from Rare Earth) onto it using Versamagic ink. I then added some white super fine embossing powder to it (I used Cosmic Shimmer True White) and heat set it with a heat gun. I used various colour distress and dye based inks (Tim Holtz, Catherine Pooler and Altenew) - greens, blues, reds and pinks to colour over the words, blending them all as I went).  When I was happy with the result, I used some kitchen roll to remove the excess ink.
