Japanese lady on large trellis frame - hand coloured  home decor piece Hi Craft addicts! I had created this background some time ago and thought it would go well with this Japanese Lady die cut from Tattered Lace.... How I made this project:- I used 3 different colours of Cosmic Shimmer's Opal Polishes - Parakeet Blue, Blushed Peach and Pink Thistle to cover both parts of this large (A5 approx) Trellis Frame that Dreamees sell. I used my fingers to blend some of the colours in and then added extra to give it some texture and left it to dry. I cut out the Japanese Geisha lady die (from Tattered Lace) in some white card - I did wonder if I would colour it in at all but decided against it as I thought it would stand out more if plain. I masked off all sides of a cream piece of card and coloured it in using Pinks, Yellow and Green Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and blended them in with a waterbrush. Japanese Lady behind screen A4 picture frame -  Day 267 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have to say that I am so pleased with the way this project has turned out - one of my successes if I say so myself... I have used an A4 picture frame to create this stylish home decor product! How I made this project:- I had cut out the Japanese Geisha Woman (from Tattered Lace) ages ago in black card and had always wondered what to do with her and suddenly had this idea... I first of all took an A4 sheet of Orange Create & Craft's Citrus Burst Linen card from their Core collection and made sure that it fitted this A4 Certificate Picture frame (which I got on Ebay). MDF Butterfly decorated with Acrylic paints -  Day 261 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been playing with Acrylic paints and MDF shapes and this is one of my first attempts which I had great fun making! How I made this fun project:- I first of all cleaned the surface of the MDF Butterfly - am not sure where it is from but it could either be Dreamees or Ali Reeve's Clever Cuts. I decided to do a "dirty pour" which is where you add all the colours you want into a pot and add it directly to the project. I therefore added the main colour first - which in this case is black Folk Art acrylic paints (these are good as they already have been mixed with a pouring medium to make them easier to pour) into a plastic pot and then added various amounts of Yellow, Blue, Green and a bit of white until I was happy with the colour mix. Food, Glorious Food 2019 mini calendar wall hanging -  Day 251 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a mini calendar (which you can detach) on a food themed MDF plaque... How I made this wall hanging:- I first of all covered the MDF plaque with two types of paper - the checkered red and cream paper on the front and a rainbow one on the reverse using a thin layer of glue - PVA is probably the best such as Pinflair. I then stamped out the hot dog, beefburger and tomato ketchup images onto some white stamping card and coloured them in using a variety of alcohol markers - I must admit I was quite pleased with how they turned out... The stamps are from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and I used Tuxedo Black from Memento to ink them. I also stamped out the ENJOY sentiment from a Craftwork Cards set again using the same ink and then coloured it in using Green and Purple alcohol markers. Maybe one day quotation hand coloured box frame -  Day 186 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 186 of my 365 day challenge is one I am  really pleased with - I am trying to do more home decor items and this is one that I might just hang on my wall! How I made this project:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (just a bit smaller than A6) and dusted it with an anti-static bag and then stamped the quote (from Rare Earth) onto it using Versamagic ink. I then added some white super fine embossing powder to it (I used Cosmic Shimmer True White) and heat set it with a heat gun. I used various colour distress and dye based inks (Tim Holtz, Catherine Pooler and Altenew) - greens, blues, reds and pinks to colour over the words, blending them all as I went).  When I was happy with the result, I used some kitchen roll to remove the excess ink. Fairy and flower cartonnage gift tag or home decor -  Day 157 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well the sun is shining today which makes a lovely change and for my challenge today, I have been playing with tag shaped cartonnage/chipboard shapes. How I made this project:- These are, I think chipboard/cartonnage label shaped tags (not MDF) and I think I should have painted it first with some Gesso to act as  a primer but still I think it still turned out ok. I used Tattered Angels Colour Wash paints (blues, greens, browns and a hint of yellow to colour in the background. I let each coat dry before adding another (I think I did about 4 or 5) and then let it dry overnight. I cut out the fairy and the flower toppers in white cardstock (both Tattered Lace dies) and coloured them in - I left the fairy's hair white as I thought it added some interest and her wings and flowers in a couple of shades of pink. Mermaid themed MDF wall hanging - hand coloured background - Day 149 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is raining here at the moment and very very stuffy and so this Mermaid themed MDF wall hanging is something to cheer me up! How I made this project:- I first of all covered the front of this shaped MDF plaque with some white card using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and trimmed it to fit. I then used Tattered Angels Colour Wash Paints to create the sea background (mainly blues, blacks and a hint of white). When it was dry, I added a bit of water to a brush and took some of the colour away to give it some dimension. I also added a hint of white to try and give the impression of waves. I then stamped the Mermaids, seaweed and turtles on to it using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then cut out one Cloud die (from Memory Box) in grey paper and added some shading to it using a darker alcohol marker and placed it on the left hand side. I stamped out the tree stump o...

Country cottage hand painted and stamped oval wall plaque -  Day 136 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Something different today for day 136 of my 365 day challenge - this time it is an oval MDF wall plaque which has been made using papers from Hunkydory and a stamp from Stamps Away. How I made this plaque:- I stamped the Country Cottage image (from Stamps Away) on to some white stamping card and coloured it in using Zig Clean Color pens and a water brush.  Once it was dry, I trimmed it, leaving a very narrow white border at the top and bottom and then edged it with a blue alcohol marker. I used 2 sheets of the pale blue spotty side from Hunkydory's Twilight Forest paper pad and glued them to either side of an oval MDF wall plaque. Before it was dry, I pressed the paper towards the edge of the plaque and trimmed it. Once dry, I then used a emery board (but you could use a proper sand paper) and removed the excess paper - this gives you a neater fini...
