Let's have an adventure.... 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card is a Pirates themed general card which is great fun to make for my 365 day challenge. I cut a piece of white card to measure about 4" x 6" and used a circle stencil in the top right hand side and coloured through it with the remains of Gina K Obsidian Black ink on my blender brush. I continued doing it until I was happy with how it looked and put it to one side. I then used a blending brush and blue dye based inks to colour the rest of the card to look like sky/sea and then used a corner punch to create a bit of interest. I stuck it to a piece of black card and trimmed it so only the corner bits showed through and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. For the main topper, I first of all placed the two pirates on to a piece of card where I wanted them to go and then picked them up on my stamping platform and used Gina K Obsidian Black ink a couple of times to get a good impression. Sea Scene with galleon, lighthouse and treasure A4 canvas - handpainted mixed media Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for Watercolour Wednesday is a canvas I have created using watercolour paints, dies, stamps and alcohol markers...it definitely needs improving as it is my first attempt at a larger composition.. How I made this project:- The first thing I did was to lightly draw in pencil where i wanted the various places to go on a prepared A4 canvas, such as the sand dunes, sea and skyline. I then started on the sky, using various shades of blue Watercolour paints - this time I used Kuretake's Gansai Tambi but any will do... I also added some white, grey and darker blue to give the impression of clouds in the sky. I then used darker blue shades to create the sea, adding a bit of green and white once dry. I also used some black paint to create the land in the distance (this definitely needs work on - but there again so does everything else). Using yell...
