A Gift for you... unicorn and fairy in silhouette  7x5in black pearlescent card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness it is Friday already and the weekend is almost here... I have made this card using some toppers from the brilliant Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit from Hunkydory... How I made this card:- I was really lucky to be given a set of the Once Upon a Twilight cardmaking kit and so have made this one using the Unicorn and Princess silhouette oval. I first of all used a piece of white linen effect card and stamped the Rare Earth Sweet Traditions (stripes) pattern on to it twice - first of all using Pink Tulip from Crafter's Companions' Harmony ink set and then moved it slightly and stamped it again with Plum Jam from the same set.  As it is linen card, the lines aren't as defined as they would be with a smooth card but that was ok. I then trimmed the edges with my We R Memories Guillotine and stuck it to an A6 pre cut panel of Matt Silver Mirri card (fro...

Happy Birthday... abstract circles DL Orange card

Happy Birthday... abstract circles DL Orange card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is nearly the weekend so thought I would make this bright and cheerful Birthday card... How I made this card:- This is a lovely and bright Orange DL card which I have used landscape format. I used the Stamps By Me Synergy - Lattice 4 Die and cut it out using a sheet of Black self adhesive paper. I didn't want the panel inside the die-cut for this card, so snipped it off ( I will use it in another project). I then removed part of the backing sheet, and gradually adhered it to both sides of the DL card, burnishing it down as I went. I then took the Happy Birthday sentiment stamp from the Big Birthday Words collection from Woodware and stamped it out on to some white stamping card using an Altenew Jet Black mini cube (I used this ink as it wouldn't be coloured or anything). I trimmed around it and edged it with a Black alcohol marker and attached it to the centre of the card with foam pa...

Sometimes...memory flower panel 7x5in black pearlescent card Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would use one of Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me flower stamps to make this 7" x 5" card.. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the "A Miracle" Deco plate in white card (it cuts the whole panel out) and then stamped the co-ordinating detail design onto it using Gina K Amalgam ink.  I used the Eureka 101 to make sure that it was exactly in the right place. I then glued the detail panel on to the diecut using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I used Crafter's Companion Tri-blenders to colour the flowers/leaves in (Purple Blend - P2,3 and 4 and Light Green Blend - LG1,3 and 5). I stamped out the sentiment onto a scrap piece of white card using Gina K Amalgam Black ink and then cut it out in a cloud shape and edged it with a purple alcohol marker (Spectrum Noir chisel edge). I then attached the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" black ...

Sent with Love - monochrome heart design card - Day 302 of my 365 day challenge

Sent with Love - monochrome heart design card -  Day 302 of my 365 day challenge  Hi Craft addicts! I have been trying to use up some die-cuts that I had previously cut out and this one is a card using Tonic Studios dies. How I made this card:- I used one of the heart dies that Tonic Studios brought out ages ago, the main ornate frame in cream linen effect card and the ornate heart in black card. Tonic Studios also produced a duo set of a stamp and die and I first of all stamped the heart on white linen card and then die cut it. I then coloured it in using red and green alcohol markers. I glued the main frame on to some black card and trimmed around it leaving a narrow border. I attached the smaller hand coloured heart on to the black heart and glued both of them on to the main panel. I then stuck the whole thing on to a 6" white card using a wet glue. The sentiment was one from the Hunkydory Moonstone set Terrific Tags and Sentiments set on to a piece of ...

Season's Greetings Rudolph and parcels DL Christmas card -  Day 355 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! It is so near Christmas time now but I have made this "Season's Greetings" DL card using some dies, a hand coloured background and some Nuvo drops.... How I made this card:- I first of all took a pre-cut "Deckle edged" panel (from Craft Creations) and coloured a sky scene using various shades of "Blue" and "Black" distress and dye based ink using a circle of card to mask of the moon.  Once I was happy with the overall effect, I took away the mask and very lightly coloured the moon to look as if there were some clouds moving across it. I then cut out the "Rudolph" and "Sleigh" in dark "Kraft" card and glue them on to the panel using CS glue. I also used some "Clear" Wink of Stella on the moon to make it sparkle. I had some of the "parcels" already coloured (they a...

Geometric (Decagon) shape 5" fancy card - day 305 of my 366 day challenge

Geometric (Decagon) shape 5" fancy card -  day 305 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is a geometric shaped topper (using Spellbinders Designer dies) on an ornate 5" card (from Hunkydory). How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the "Decagon View" die from the Spellbinders Designer Sets collection. I used white card stock and kept the "waste" for other projects.  I then coloured it using alcohol markers (you can of course use any colours). I then took the bits out of the 5" square card (from Hunkydory) again keeping the waste bits. I coloured the centre part of the topper and stamped the "You are amazing.... remember that" on to it using Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad.  I stuck the topper on to the centre part using some thick foam pads. Finally, I added some "Sea Breeze" Jewel drops and some "Sugared Almond" Crystal drops from Nuvo (Tonic Studios) And there you are - a...

Just for you - Penny Farthing bicycle shaped card -  Day 293 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is once again using some of the Hunkydory's "For the Love of Stamps " stamp collection - this time from the "A beautiful ride " one along with some of the "Tear and Share" card collection. How I made the card:- I first of all cut out the panel of white card (Tattered Lace pin dot squares die collection) (linen effect as I like it) and coloured it using some N02 (Blue) and B01 (Blue) dye based inks from Generation INX keeping it in the die whilst doing so it gave an irregular edge to it too. I then stamped the "Penny Farthing" bicycle on to it using Versafine "Onyx Black" ink once the background was dry. I then coloured some of the "flowers" in using some "Yellow" and "Blue" alcohol marker. I used the "Balloon" stamp from the same collection and stamped...
