Leopard on a branch small wall hanging -  day 247 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts Pollyanna Pickering's beautiful artwork features once again in this project for day 247 of my 366 day challenge. How to make this wall hanging... I first of all took a small MDF "Plaque" (it measures 105x90mm ) and painted it on both sides using the "Chocolate Bronze" Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Guilding polish. it gives a really great textured feel to the MDF Whilst waiting for it to dry, I cut two pieces of the "animal print" backing paper I had left over from the "Walk in the Wild" Card kit to fit (95x85mm) and once it was dry glued them both to each side. Don't quit your daydream toadstools wall hanging plaque -  Day 86 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! "Don't quit your daydream" is a great quote and so decided to use this in my latest project. I painted the wall plaque (approx 16x9,5cm ) first of all in Pebeo black acrylic gesso paint and gave it a couple of coats after the first one had dried. I then coloured the toadstools image from the Nature colour pad from Chameleon using red, beige, blue and green alcohol markers and stuck it on the plaque using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue . Once it was dry I varnished it with several coats of the Zig Varnish Marker pen and again allowed it to dry. I added a border of Kraft paper which I had cut out using the Pearl border dies from Tattered Lace. I stuck it on using the thin strips of foam pads from Stix2. Fairy and flowers Large MDF tag shaped wall hanging - Day 24 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So, this is another wall hanging - hadn't quite realised how many I had actually made - they are all so much fun to do! So for this one I took a large tag MDF shape and painted it a couple of times with black Pebeo Acrylic Gesso paint. Once dry, I cut out a Tonic Studios Fairy die in white and glued it using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. You could of course either paint it with chalkboard paint or use chalkboard paper so that you can use the space for messages. After it was dry, I made up some paper flowers and butterfly (from different companies) - for my next one, I am going to try and stamp some flowers out (such as the Honey Doo or Dreamees ) and use them. Pair of wooden MDF mittens - just right for Christmas Hi Craft addicts! As Christmas is drawing ever nearer, I thought I would show you how I made these MDF mittens (approx 4" or 100mm). There are 2 different sizes so you could use one set for the tree and the larger ones for anywhere else! I have also made a box to go with them so they looks a bit more special. I first of all painted the two mittens (which were in the Dreamees Christmas MDF pack)  with White Pebeo Gesso paint and allowed them to dry. I then covered both sides with some red and white spotted paper which you can buy from Craft Creations and used some Cosmic Shimmer Matt, Seal and Glaze glue to "varnish" them - if you didn't want to use paper you could use red acrylic paint Using the MDF shapes as templates to cut the paper out, they were slightly bigger than the shape but you can use sandpaper to smooth the edges (it also seals the paper to the MDF). Hearts wedding or Valentine's Day present, gift box and greetings card - Part one... Hi Craft Addicts! Goodness it has been a few weeks since I last wrote on here - really must try harder! This post is showing how I made a stylish wedding gift including the gift box and wedding card which is relatively simple to make but does look really good. Part One - the MDF Heart  First of all, I painted a MDF heart (approximately 8cm) in red which can be bought from Dreamees here  using the DR3 Spectrum Noir Alcohol marker straight on to the MDF. I waited for it to dry and then gave it another coat and repeated on the other side - I then painted the edge so that you couldn't see the MDF. Fairy door wall hanging with chalk board notice section Hi Craft Addicts! This is a "story" of two halves - first of all the fairy door and then how I used it to make a chalkboard notice board wall hanging. So I will do this in two sections (the fairy door today and will post the noticeboard tomorrow).. I used the Dreamees Fairy Door making kit which you can buy from their website here .(this makes 2 so is excellent value for money) - you get all the necessary bits including signposts, trees, toadstools etc. Using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (I find they cover the MDF really well) in three different shades of brown, I "painted" the larger of the doors in the darker brown on both sides a couple of times and then the smaller of the doors and the "struts) in the lighter shades of brown.  I also added some silver dots to the struts to make them look like nails and used some purple Nuvo Crystal drops as a door handle but of co...

Chocolate - the 12 step guide wall hanging... Hi Craft Addicts! You may have seen my last blog about making a stylish wall hanging using a topper from Hunkydory   and a plaque style MDF shape from Dreamees and so here is another one I have made - this time featuring that other favourite, chocolate ... The process is exactly the same as before but this time using it landscape instead of portrait. I painted the panel (which is  22cm x 10cm ) using the  Pebeo Black Gesso  acrylic paint (I had to do it a couple of times using some  Cut n Dry foam  - this, I have discovered is  SO  much better than using a brush as it does give a smoother coat.
