Chocolate - the 12 step guide wall hanging...

Hi Craft Addicts!

You may have seen my last blog about making a stylish wall hanging using a topper from Hunkydory  and a plaque style MDF shape from Dreamees and so here is another one I have made - this time featuring that other favourite, chocolate...

The process is exactly the same as before but this time using it landscape instead of portrait.

Chocolate - the 12 step guide wall hanging decoration
I painted the panel (which is 22cm x 10cm) using the Pebeo Black Gesso acrylic paint (I had to do it a couple of times using some Cut n Dry foam - this,

I have discovered is SO much better than using a brush as it does give a smoother coat.

Whilst it dried on both sides, cut a gold foiled border (with diamond panels) into the right length for both sides - this is from another of Hunkydory's card packs.

I then glued them to the panel just to the right (or left) of the holes either side.

I then added some faux stitching using the white Shake it Graph-it marker which just edged the borders nicely and then glued the "The 12-step guide to chocolate" topper to the centre of the panel.

The MDF comes with some string which I poked through the back of one of the top holes (using a pokey tool) and tied a knot in it and then repeated it on the other side. I also added a bit of Cosmic Shimmer to the knot so that it secured it a bit more.

Once all done, I added some White Crystal drops from Nuvo (Tonic Studios) to the centre of the diamond shapes as I thought it added a bit of dimension.

And there you are a wall hanging decoration that would make a lovely present for the chocolate lover (and who doesn't know one)....
