Fairy door wall decoration with chalkboard notice board Stage 2
Fairy door wall decoration with chalkboard notice board Stage 2
Hi Craft Addicts!
If you have read yesterday's post about how I made the fairy door, I am now going to go through how I made the rest of the notice board wall hanging.
I again painted the large notice board (it is 28cm x 19cm) with the black Pebeo Gesso acrylic paint on both sides allowing it to dry in between the 2 coats.
Once dry, I decided where I wanted the fairy door to go and marked where the top would go and then stuck the chalkboard paper (blackboard) which is from the 12" x 12" pad from ColourBox.near to the top right hand corner leaving room round it to add the faux stitching using the white Graph-it Shake marker.
I then glued the Fairy door to the panel using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue as it really does the job of sticking it securely!
I also stuck the 2 toadstools which I had previously decorated to the right hand side of it allowing the larger one to hang over the edge.
I had a Fairy Twinks (from Tattered Lace) die cut already in purple mirri card and so added it to the fairy door so it looks as if she is going in.
I also added a paper flower which I had edged in pink (and used the purple Nuvo Crystal drops in the centre) and a plain white mulberry paper butterfly to the right hand corner. I then added some black cord for hanging.
And there you are - one very pretty wall decoration which I think would make a lovely present.
