  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective 7x5" top fold card using once again using the Mouse and poppies die from Creative Expressions... I first of all used some of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock to cut out the Mouse and poppy die from Creative Expressions Paper Panda range. I had coloured some super smooth card using Hybrid inks to create this pastel background. I used a dotty tape pen (from Crafter's Companion) to attach the die cut to the panel as I didn't want any glue showing. I then fussy cut around it and added it to a panel of Lynda Chapman's Black card again using a tape pen and then trimmed it so that there was a narrow border all around it and then rounded the corners with a Hunkydory Prism punch. I then glued it (with PVA glue) to the left hand side of a white landscape card (from Paper Boutique range from Creative Crafting World) and the rounded the corners with the same punch. T...

    Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun card using some stamps, Distress Oxide inks and a craft knife. I stamped out the Fairy Door using a design from Francoise Read (in her Woodware Stamps range) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then used 3 shades of Brown Spectrum Noir Triblender markers to colour in the door and then Pink, Yellow and Green for the flowers and leaves. I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean and Rustic Wilderness) to create the background. I fussy cut around the image and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I decided I wanted the door to open, so I used my Tonic Studios Craft knife to cut around the door making sure that it could open properly and then cut out the oval window. I had thought I wanted a Fairy inside the house, but decided it would be more fun to use the Hamster stamp from Sweet Dixie, so stamped it out on to some white card again using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and...

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a quick and easy card using dies and stamps from a variety of Companies... I cut out the main panel in white card using Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles from her Slimline Die collection. I had previously used some off cuts from Crafter's Companion linen effect cardstock to create a panel and I cut it the smaller rectangle out and kept the waste pieces and then stuck them back randomly and glued the whole thing on to the main mat layer and attached it to the front of an A6 card with a dotty pen as I could cover the whole die cut without any glue showing through the wholes. I had also cut a smaller rectangle using a deckle edged die in white card and stamped the rabbit, carrot and cupcake on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured them in using Stabilo FSC colouring pencils - I really like these as they blend very well.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's card could be a slider card but I have made it as a "flat" design. I first of all stamped out the coconut tree twice on to white stamping card (from the Go Bananas Slider stamp and die set from Crafter's Companion), making sure that it had enough room in between them for the foliage. I then stamped the leaves so they looked attached to the trees. I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink for this as it is good for either watercolours or alcohol inks. I used a couple of green shades Spectrum Noir Triblend markers to colour the leaves of the trees and the grass, trying to blend them so that you can see some shading. I then used a couple of their brown Triblend markers to colour the trunks and nuts, blending the colours in to give it some dimension. I used one of the darker green markers to colour the foliage in.    Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is a cute Birthday card that could be sent to anyone you like! I used the mouse silhouette Paper Cuts Die from Creative Expressions and cut it out using Lynda Chapman's Black Card. I created the sunrise background on some smooth cardstock using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Oranges, Reds and Yellows) or you can used watercolour paints to colour the background too! I then used some PVA glue to attach the silhouette die cut on to it and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I rounded the corners of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card (which are now discontinued from Create & Craft) - I used a punch from Hunkydory's Prism range. I then took a piece of Orange and white dotty paper, rounded the corners and attached a strip of black card to the middle of it (approximately 4.75" x 1") and then stuck both to the front of the card.   Hi Craft addicts!       I really enjoyed making this card and hope you will too! I first of all rounded the corners of a white DL card using the Prism (Hunkydory) punch. I then used  Dotty Design slimline die and cut out the largest panel in white card and used my guillotine to take off the edges so it looks like a postage stamp. I then used the 2 smaller panels and cut the middle size in purple card and the smaller one in white. I also rounded the corners of the middle panel and edged the larger of the panels with a black alcohol marker. I then mat and layered them all together and stuck them to the front of the DL card using PVA glue for all of them, having first of all scored the bottom of the panel about 10 times using my Hunkydory Scoreboard The little girl is a stamp and die set from Linnie Pink Designs called Avery, and I stamped it out on to white stamping card and then cut it out using the co-ordinating die.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card is a fun Happy Birthday DL card -  I hope you like it! The background was created using Himi Silky Crayons (Red, Orange and Yellow) which I scribbled on to some watercolour card and then blended them in using some water and a paintbrush. Once I was happy with it, I left it to dry - giving it a waft of my heat gun to straighten it out. I then cut out the 3 pigs in white card and the mat layer in Lynda Chapman's Black card. The dies are from Carnation Crafts and are called Hank and Heff and Hatty. I used 2 Spectrum Noir Triblender Markers (Pale Pink and Fair Skin) to colour the pigs in (first of all used a black fineliner pen to add the details within the die cut - and once I was happy with the effect I attached them to the black layers. I cut out a panel of Kraft card, rounded the edges with the Prism corner punch (having done the same to a white DL card), stuck the sunrise background to it and glued it ...

Hi Craft addicts!   Today's card is one using the pre die cut toppers from a collection by Creative Crafting World - I hope you like it! I removed the two toppers from the Safari Buddies collection from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) that I thought would go on a DL card. I also took the matching paper from the same set  I then cut out a piece of Grey Textured paper (from Crafter's Companion) to fit the front of a DL card and rounded the edges with a corner punch from Hunkydory's Prism range I used that as a template to cut the patterned paper to fit using my guillotine - I am going to try and use my Scan n Cut more to do this type of thing I think! I stuck both of them to the front of the DL card using a tape pen. I used a Tattered Lace scalloped edge die to cut 2 circles slightly bigger than the die cuts from the same Grey paper and attached the toppers on to them using PVA glue. Just Because... mouse on flowers 2 A6 cards Hi Craft Addicts! Well we're back to cloud today but hopefully these 2 cards will cheer things up! How I made these cards i first of all cut out the Mouse on a flower Paper Cuts Edger die twice - once in Black and the other in yellow card.  I trimmed them both so they fitted the front of the cards - one is an A6 and the other A2 (both roughly the same size but one is American size). I then glued them to the front of the cards using Pinflair's Glue it Glue. Using White embossing powder for both sentiments, I first of all stamped the Just Because phrase out on to black card and a pale Kraft card with Versamark (having dusted both with an anti-static bag first). I then heat set the powder and cut around them. I then attached both of them to the bottom of the cards using foam pads. And there you are 2 very simple cards but you could produce a set of them and put them in a box as they would make a great gift. Don...
